how much are you normally drinking and what withdrawal symptoms do you face?since 23. Apr 2009 : TSM - failed to reduce units
since 08. Jan 2010 : Naltrexone + Baclofen combination therapy
reborn since 16. Jan 2010 : Alcohol Free (AF) - only taking Baclofen
since 22. May 2010 : Baclofen against anxiety/fear
since 14. Mar 2011 : off Baclofen - taking 25mg Topamax/day

Janka....I know nothing about withdrawal, but if you look at the bottomof the home page there is a section about home detoxing and a link about how to handle withdrawal......maybe that will help youI love my family more than alcohol.:h

janka, are you drinking right now? If so, can you STOP DRINKING AL and drink some water? Then lay down in bed?
If you are really concerned that you are going to go into withdrawls, then you really need to seek local help.
There is a limit to what people on a discussion forum can do to help you if you are in withdrawls. We really need to know what you are doing right now in order to try to support you.
Let us know what you are doing now, OK?

janka, I'm glad you are in bed. I hope you get a good rest. Don't be afraid to consult a doctor if you are concerned about withdrawls. Tapering can be very difficult for many of us because one drink generally just leads to...a lot of drinking for most of us. If we lack control over our drinking in general, we tend to lack it for tapering specifically. (of course that is not true for everyone!)
Have you tried to taper off alcohol before? If so, how did that work out?
