Maslow, JC had lived a hard life. I grew up with his music and his antics. I saw him in concert during the 70's, followed his life. He KNEW what drugs and AL had taken from him, and he wanted to share that with the people who loved his music. But his greatest testimony was that we go through the hard times in order to reach the light, and love, in our existence. I believe, through his music, he told us a lot about the right path, the one he missed for so long. June saved him, and he had the happiest, most wonderful time in his life, but he understood he should have been able to do it himself, and he eventually did. This was the life we watched of someone who had everything, and lost it, only to find it again in sobriety. We aren't all in the limelight. We are suffering the same disease, illness, but we have different problems in dealing with it. AL does not descriminate; we are all susceptible to it's evil, but we all have the exact SAME opportunity to save ourselves from it. You can. I'm sorry you're at a low point right now, but take TODAY, and make it the best TODAY you can, sober. Your friends here have your back!sigpic

Maslow, thank you, but you and I are in the same boat, you know, I've just been here a while. When you become more comfortable in your sobriety, pass the gift along by listening to those who come here lost, and offer them a helping hand. One of my favorite sayings: Never look down on ANYONE, unless you're offering them a hand up.sigpic

Hi Maslow,
You're doing so well and you know I'll baby sit any of your babies. Just put them on a plane and I'll meet them at the airport.
I loved the song and I cried a river at the film.
Rubes when you said that 'JC had a hard life' I thought you meant me.
