I'd go swimming. Seriously. A little exercise to get the blood moving. Cool you down. You can cry with your face in the water and nobody will know. How about it? Have you eaten anything? Drinking water?sigpic

You are dehydrated and sorry you feel lousy but if you're up to it....get to a full-service restaurant (or order in room service. better yet) and order this remedy....sparkling water with bitters and squueze in either a half orange or lime....you will feel much better. It was several weeks ago that I had a hangover but I felt better within minutes. Most bartenders are familiar with it....it is to help an upset stomach and replace the lost fluids from all the AL.
Drink lots of water with lemon it.

Drink as much as your body feels it needs but don't drink anything with booze in in it.
There is no rush. You have all the time you want.
Lemon or lime juice in a pint of chilled water...can't think of anything better
When your body stops needing, so will you.
Give yourself some time.
Now...
I'd love to be in Florida

Look at it this way, Shark....once you recover from your hangover, you'll be able to enjoy the rest of your holiday. Florida is horribly hot and humid in the summertime, though, that's why the snowbirds who go to Florida for the winter come back here to Wisconsin before summer.

Booze never makes me smile when I did it on my own.
It makes me nervous, paranoid, and stupid.
Tried it
Every single day, there is something that makes me want to cry...
and every single day there is something that makes me want to smile.
I'd rather smile.

Yup, Popeye,
Even in my worst drinking days and the worst times of my life, I smiled and laughed every day. It keeps me young and people always tell me I don't look and act my age (49). Someone always has it worse than you, don't they? I'm grateful for everything I have.
My friend is chronically happy and cheerful...NEVER in a bad mood. He said it's because his grandmother told him when he was young, "You can either cry alone or laugh with the rest of the world, and I would rather laugh with the rest of the world." So would I. When I was drinking so heavily, if I didn't cry while drinking, I cried out of shame when I was hungover and overwhelmed with self-loathing. Horrible way to live.

I am the same way Rusty. I am always smiling and laughing. No one has any idea the turmoil that goes on in my mind. It is a very lonely way to live. I grew up in a house where my father was very controlling and verbally abusive and I just learned how to deal with it by always pretending to be happy. I have no idea how to express real emotions anymore- I feel if I do people will think less of me. Big part of why I drink! :upset:AL free since March 17th 2011...loving this life. No drinking no matter what.
Hi my name is Lori and i am so happy to be here.
