Struggles,
I echo the sentiments of the others...if you feel that bad, don't be ashamed or afraid to get medical attention. You are worth it :l Please let us know how you are and know that we have all been where you are..."No matter what happens, be fearless!"

Keep the faith and send out good energy..it will come back guaranteed and then pass it on..can't do that if you're shit faced all the time. I don't understand the addiction like some but I know we all need someone......and you will have support Gal xox

Thank you
Thank you all. I am doing okay. I drank again yesterday. I attended my first AA meeting yesterday and although I was inspired, I still came home and have 24 beers. I have not had a drink today and know I will begin withdrawal. I'm alone tonight and the night is not my friend. I feel so ashamed. I know I should probably get to another meeting tonight, but am pretty sure I will end up picking up a 12pack. I came here instead. I ended up at emergency with an extreme anxiety attack. They kept me a few hours, medicated me to get my anxiety down and told me to seek help for my addiction.
Can someone give me the supplements and dosages to take? I think it has changed since I got my book. since I am alone tonight, perhaps I will listen to the cds aloud in my room.
I'm sorry to have alarmed you all. It's amazing how much support there is here.

Struggles,
I would call your doctor right now (I don't know what part of the world you are in) or if you are in the US, get to an Urgent Care facility and tell them you're going through withdrawal. Also, dial a 24-hour addiction help line. They can advise you and maybe they can refer you to a doctor. We'll be here to help you with your journey.:l

Hi Struggles...glad you're checking in. I'm a bit concerned with the cold turkey but from what I understand others have done it. Did they give you extra meds for anxiety and do you have an emergency number handy? You can go into chat if you are feeling like you don't need an emergency visit. Hope you have lemons with water on hand. B Vitamins for nerves and detox, milk thistle and/or dandelion root for liver support and L-Glutamine is a good start. You could re-read the MY WAY OUT book too.:l
