    Help!

I have been experiencing pain/numbness/tingling in my toes, feet and hands for quite some time now (months). I fear it is neuropathy from drinking excessively. Anyone have these symptoms or know anything about this? I'm scared!!! Thanks!

      Help!

      Hi Stressed,
If you're concerned about this, can you give your doctor a call and have him check you out? Good luck to you.
Sometimes what you're most afraid of doing is the very thing that will set you free.

          Help!

Thank you all who replied! I know my physician really well and don't want her to know my issues. I will search for another physician who will be more neutral! I will check with them about the B12 levels and also need to be honest about my drinking! I have been drinking for about 15 years and it started in highschool/college but gradually got up to 2 to 3 glasses of wine a night. I'm afraid to find out but know that it is the right thing to do! Thanks again!

            Help!

2 to 3 glasses of wine a night is not excessive in my opinion. I would definately go to the doctor. This could be anxiety, as well. Good Luck and stay with us.

              Help!

              Hi Stressed, and welcome.

Yep, see a doc. This might be diabetes related too? Maybe get that possibility checked out as well.

                Help!

                Are they swollen?

Great job on 5 days AF. No matter what the cause for your foot problems, cutting AL out of the picture is good for you.

                    Help!

                    Go to doc

I have had this issue in the past. Whether it was due to drinking or excessive stress I am not sure. But, I can tell you this....I thought for sure I was having a stroke. Then the stress worsens, which means the numbness worsens.

Now (6 years later)....I can tell you that when I have numbness....I don't freak out....and it usually passes. Prior to that I would freak out so bad...that it got worse.

My best advice is to learn breathing exercises. Most of us breathe to shallow whithout knowing it.....for me...it was just not enough oxygen in the body.
