    always a struggle

Music would be good but not a transistor radio so you don't have access to news reports that might be upsetting. Music should defo be allowed tho'.
For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

      always a struggle

My de-tox was done as daily in-patient treatment. So I just had to stay from about 9am through to 7pm and then got to sleep in my own bed.
I used to take my knitting in (no I'm not 200 years old) but I spent most days just having a good old natter with the other inmates..........I mean patients
It could be worse, I could be filing.

this most likely is gonna be a 72 hour shot....i can check out at anytime but i think i should stay all 3 days of it
Say, Mr. Fields, I read in the paper where you consumed two quarts of liquor a day. What would your father think about that?

Best be there where you can have immediate medical attention if necessary for any withdrawal symptoms and also where you won't be tempted should the cravings get too bad. Again, best of luck.

You'll stay the whole three days even if I have to nail you feet to the floor

And we'll be waiting for you.

Do you know PW, your 72 hour de-tox will be invaluable information for any one here thinking about trying it. So please, please let us know how you get on.

                  Journal yes, journal.

Start by doing what's necessary, then what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

Good idea and if there are others there going through the same thing, you may want to write down what they're experiencing as well - if they're willing to share. Anything that could help others. And it will help you to have it in writing later should you want to refer to what you went through during the detox.
