Hey guys, If any of the daily abbers who know me from our daily thread are out there, can you read the update? I had a rough talk with my dad and really need the support from those who talk to me daily. Sorry if this seems really selfish, I'm sure it does and I truely apologize for that.

Just having a bit of a challenge and need my regular peeps.

I know I'm not one of your regular Abber friends, but I empathize with you....my dad was the same way, and my mom is 83 and kind of the same. It's the past...you can't change it...don't overthink it....blah blah blah. With your dad and the stripper....that was the "in" thing to do back then. Juvenile, at best. I think that ridiculous tradition is hopefully dead now.

My experience with dating as many men as I have....and I'm 50, and being in a male-dominated industry and with men all day long...is that many men just SUCK at communicating on a personal level with their children....they are just so uncomfortable. They don't know what to say so whatever comes out of their mouths is the wrong thing. I hope you'll stay AF tonight and not give into the beast. I hope your regular friends come on board because I know I'm not someone you want to hear from but I am here for you anyway.:l
