    somebody talk to me

I'm in school retaking a-levels and starting at art college in september. Ive had a rough couple of years, sisters been in and out of apsychiatric hospital, brothers a drug dealer and ex-addict, loads of little things going on to drive me mad right up until now n looking for my dad again which had opened a whole can of worms I think was better left undisturbed. I'm really glad to see you still here, always gives me hope when i recognise a name around the place
I have faced it, a life wasted, and I am never going back there again

To ya'll my name is inchy. I am an alcoholic - and priority number one is making it to the end of this day AF. No excuses.

TG, why don't you start writing what you think you need to do each day to stay sober, just for today? Maybe start a fresh thread and call it That Girl's Sobriety Plan? I'll go find a thread that has several people's plans in it and bump it up. I think that might give you some good ideas.

The biggest most important thing that happened on my own path to sobrity was finally accepting 100% (rather than 98% or something like that) that I just cannot drink safely, ever. Once I start...who the heck knows what's gonna happen. Holding out hope that somehow I could drink and it would be different was a huge barrier for me. Don't know if that's a factor for you too - just throwin' it out there as food for thought.
