      InChains,
My heart and thoughts are with you. I work in healthcare and know how truly dreadful eczema can be!!!! Wishing you the best for the new treatment. I do not know much about the candida connection but do see alot of eczema in connection with allergies - food and environmental. May be something to consider! At any rate will be sending positive healing thoughts you way in the next few days!! Hang in there!!!

Hi Inchy - I don't have anything to offer, except support - I hope you're able to start the new treatment soon and that it works well.

Zen, can you tell me about the candida cleanse?

        Thanks.

Hi inchains I just wanted to mention diet as being the number one place to start in my opinion, its internal, Im sure you probably no but acidic foods are the worst, tomotoes oranges white bread etc etc you have to cool your body internally with diet. Have you heard of spirulina and chlorella? they are superfoods amazing stuff! Its not going to fix eczema but it will certainly help to build your body up and bring down your PH level, I also no whilst your body is trying to deal with the eczema it becomes so run down so you need to be supplementing it with good stuff. Google those superfoods AMAZING stuff! I no this sounds like Im trying to tell you to suck on a leaf when your in excruciating pain but Im really just trying to advise you on areas you can help build your body back up while the doctors are hopefully helping you too. Im hoping that treatment your about to do works for you babe! l had eczema as a child, BLOODY PAINFUL, wish my parents had known to start curing my inside and this would have helped with the outside which is why I just had to comment, I feel your pain.

trying new cream today, for those who are itnerested it is called protopic ointment, it contains an ingredient used to stop organ transplant patients rejecting the new organ - in short it is deisgned to stop my body rejecting my own skin.
I have faced it, a life wasted, and I am never going back there again

To ya'll my name is inchy. I am an alcoholic - and priority number one is making it to the end of this day AF. No excuses.

Just saw this Inchy, so sorry for what you are going through, it really sounds grim. I don't have any advice or anything useful, I just wanted to say I hope the new cream works for you and give you one of these! :l

                Feel better soon xx

I have a friend whose ezema was resistant to traditional treatments ... she treated it with the holistic approach through cleansing and diet and she is doing great now.

Hope you will take a look at the information and websites suggested as it is far better to treat internally than to have to rub on topical ointments for relief from symptoms. Better to get rid of the root of the problem (if that is what it turns out to be ... you won't know until you try some changes).

Good luck and keep us posted.

The treatment i'm using does treat the root of the problem even though it is topical - it is deisgned to repress the overactive immune system my skin has developed whcih is causing my body to attack my own skin cells. So far it actually seems to eb showing signs of working - the redness has gone down on the areas I used it on. I'm hoping it proves succesful - it may even prove effective as a long term treatment.

I want to wish you luck with your cream. This condition effects so many areas and one is depression. I guess what I want to say is that things change. I have come to really appreciate the good days and on the bad ones, I have to remember that "change remains constant". I have battled intestinal candida for 5 months, 3 of which I couldn't lift my head off my pillow. I am a tall thin woman and I lost 20 lbs. I was nauseated constantly, starving and completely exhausted. I hit a bottom after 3 months of Nystatin and strict diet. I thought I had reached "the end", I was so depressed. The next day I woke up feeling like my old self. Everything now sparkled and I remembered who I was before this nightmare. I had 5 days of bliss. I do not know, to this day, which of my efforts worked but something did. I have mild relapses of anxiety and depression, but generally, I am much better.
I believe that reaching out there really helps. Even posting this helps me! So I thank you for sharing. And I wanted to say 'hang in there'...this suffering is not a permanant reality. Blessings.
