What have I become....
Well done on 6 days AF . Things will get better you have to belief that. You can't change what has happen no matter how much shame or guilt you feel, when i think of all the shitty things i did i want to hide under the bed so i don't think of them, i know your saying easy for me to say but thinking about them is not going to change things. So what can you do to feel better ? Can you get out and get some fresh air and exercise a bit , sitting in the house thinking things over will not help.AF 5/jan/2011

Lost - can you go to your doctor or some other type of professional that may be able to help you? You know we are all here for you but I think you may need to seek some type of counseling just to get you thru initially.
Please don't give up - tell us what we can do to help. Just getting on here and posting your thoughts may be really helpful right now.

And we didn't get into this really bad place with alcohol in 6 days, and it will take a lot longer than 6 days for the world to be right again. Please be patient and just keep putting one AF foot in front of the other. There is NOTHING positive to be gained from drinking now. Nothing.
Don't give up!

What have I become....
I've been carrying Allen Carr's book with me for weeks. When I feel like I want to drink I remember his words "you aren't giving something up, you are quiting something" (maybe not exact words) but his book has really helped me focus on the positives rather than using willpower to quit. Alcohol is poison, it is something you can light on fire. Why would I want to DRINK something like that? Maybe his book would help you too?
I hope things go well for you. I am on day 4 so not far behind you. I hang out in the newbiees nest. A lot of support there for those of us just beginning. A lot of them say just checking in daily helped them over the hurdle.

just read yor letter and at least you know now you have a problem I would sugest you go to your doctor to-day and get help from him to help you before you see the therapist to help you with the depression and withdrawls
just rember your daughter needs a mum
keep posting to keep your mind focused on positive things it will get better
everyone is here to help you
