I'm here to find answers again.

    Hi,
    I have been here before.
    I have done well.
I have fallen so far off the wagon.
    I need some sage advise.
I need to find normal, happy, useful, healthy, sober please sober...again.
    I need support,
I need a kick up the arse,
    I need you all....yet again

    Help me again, please.

    Vic

      Hi Vic,

      Welcome back!
May I suggest rereading the MWO book? It's a great place to get started.
I found the MWO Hypno CDs to be very effective, have you tried them? Changing my thinking about drinking & making a strong commitment helped me tremendously.

Feel free to drop in the Newbies Nest thread for more support. There are lots of people there just getting started as well.

      Wishing you the best!

I'm sorry that you're back here, but glad that you're here at the same time. After being successful I'm curious as to what made you start drinking again? Did you feel you had it under control? You need support and I need support and we all need support. Let's support each other and do this!

          Hey Vic,

People are not measured by the times they fall , they are ultimately judged by how they get up again. The strongest and most determined of us slip, the nature of addiction almost guarantees it for many of us. It is sad that we can exist strong for hour after hour and day after day and one weak moment or thought can send us screaming down that ugly and dangerous road of drinking and all the associated problems that it brings.

In these times we are scared of what people may think of us and we also tend to get well and truley stuck into ourselves for our perceived failures. The self loathing can obviously lead many of us to black that out with more booze.

If we know these things and accept them it is easier to look past the negative and focus on what needs to be done to turn our lives around. I get tired of the fight sometimes but I also got tired of the fight to survive when I was drinking. In my moments of clarity I know which fight I would rather win.

I wish you the best and I want you know that coming here and posting is absolutely the right thing to do. You have done it once before, you can do it again.

          Dave.
I refuse to be labelled or ashamed. Through my struggles I am achieving self awareness and clarity.

Welcome back Vic! I found it essential to make a written plan of action. I got my start with the My Way Out book. I have since branched out and put a lot of other weapons in my sober arsenal. You can do it too!!!!!!

                  Hi Vic,

Online AA meetings are a great help to me, as well as here on MWO. Don't quit trying to quit. If you fall just get up again. Do you have professional support? It really might be the best thing to do in the beginning.
