I am doing ok, we are going to seek help finally got through mom's head. Lets hope that she goes through with her promises.

Having a real bad day....

Quittin - I wish you the very best. There was a time when I first came here to My Way Out that I had a lot of things I was not willing to consider in my quest for sobriety. I was drowning in booze and suicidal despression, but I was going to be picky about what I would and wouldn't do to solve the problem.

The BIGGEST thing I was unwilling to do was go to AA. But the Universe led me there anyway, and it's been a fabulous addition to the My Way Out program and forum for my sobriety. It may or may not be for you, but there's no harm in going to see. If you decide to check it out, I definitely recommend going to some different meetings just to see which groups might be a good fit. Every group has it's own personality.

Drifty - I hope you are OK and that your brother gets whatever help he needs!!!

Hang in there Alison and good for you not picking up the ethanol. I guess my fear of going to AA is bigger than my fear of not ever drinking again LOL!!! I finished the Vale book and am putting it into practice along with some helpful PMs from SuperCrew. Thanks to all for helping me over the hurdle. I'm having a better day now!
