    I am here.

    I was moderating and I now decided to go AF altogether. I just hope God gives me the strength I need when I become tempted.

    I love who I am sober.
    I hate waking in the morning after drinking and wishing I was dead!
    Somehow my hangovers now are completely emotional and alcohol affects me differently now! I hand my worries over to God.

    Day one AF ....... Done!
    I surrender.

        Good luck to you, GW. You may wish to check the "What We Believe" section of the forums, for members who may follow your religious beliefs.

        Best to you on day 1. I KNOW it is hard, and we ALL share those beliefs.

          Hi, GW.

          So glad you came here. I understand what you are saying. I finally surrendered in rehab in November. Through the grace of God--and all the help I get in AA and from this forum--I have maintained sobriety for almost two months. I don't take that for granted.
          Feel free to send me a PM if you want to talk more. I've had a miserable history with alcohol, and if I can do it, anybody can. I really believe that.
          Everyone here understands, so please do keep reading and posting.

            Congrats on your day 1 Gods way!

            I am on my day 1 and finding my to being AF as well. I attempted to moderate recently and messed up plans with a good friend of mine, plus my boyfriend. But here I go, and wish you a great day 2. We can do this!

                I am a believer myself and I believe God and this site has helped me to be where I am today. I also moderated but once I realized that I wasn't even modding anymore, decided to quit for good.
                I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

                Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

                Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.
