I'm ready to start antabuse/valium/camprel on monday. But my dr hasn't even called them in yet. I'ml looking at a long weekend of being drunk, sick and depressed. Help me please.

Hey there HippieG - Please don't take any more sleeping pills.... you haven't got much longer to go until Monday - please hang in there with hope and try keep your thoughts as positive as poss. I've been where you are, and while it is an awful space, there IS a solution and you WILL find it. Death is permanent, withdrawls are wank, but they do pass x

Oh, it's so good to hear from someone. I slept for a bit, but I'm up again. My bf is here now, so I feel a bit better. I get very lonely. My meds haven't been called in, so I don't know if I'll be able to start Monday or not. He has no idea!!

OK, HG - my thoughts of hope & encouragement are with you. Please keep posting (when you're not asleep!)...I for one don't mind what state you may be in, just keep in touch here, darlin - you can make it out of the awful, stinkin crap that is active alcoholism...just TRY to not pick up the first drink/sip when you awake. POST FIRST, or tip it out (easier said than done, I Know)...but the conscious decision to get sober is yours only, we are here to help, support & encourage. Go well :l

Well, I'm up and at 'em for another day. Hungover, stomach aching, shaky. I so hate this. I keep telling myself it's only for a few more days. I'm hoping to get the antabuse monday, but now I'm worried that the dr. is having second thoughts.

Hey HG... How much and how often do you drink? I think with Antabuse you cannot drink or you will get very sick. Others here know more. Is there the possibility you can withdraw from al without the Antabuse
