Hi again everyone
Janet - know you normally stick to this thread, but have you seen the congratulations thread for you on achieving months? It's in the Just Starting Out section.
Scottish Lass, I agree with you suit shopping sounds a trigger! How old are your 2 daughters? How are things today? love your signature line by the way, read it if you are feeling negative! The other signature lines I really like which really help me are LolaB's " no-one can go back and start a new beginning but anyone can start today and make a new ending " and Byrdlady's "All you ve got to do is get thru this day" - very appropriate if you are struggling, it's not good to look too far ahead.
Which brings me to you Janice, I was slightly worried by your last post. Re- read Jason, also read the thread I started up the other week about envying normal drinkers who seem to have perfect lives etc. have you looked at that blog yet, the woman who writes it has over 500 days AF now. I can really relate to so much she is saying. I know you've had other AF stints before. How many, What is the longest you've managed in recent years, what caused you to break your sobriety ( you don't need to post the answers in public, keep them to yourself, but use them as thinking points.)
I am feeling better than a couple of weeks back and less worried about relapse, as I approach 8.5 months, my longest stretch AF ever. However I am always on my guard and I am certainly not thinking ahead to things like Christmas and New year, just concentrate on one day at a time!
