      D-
I am VERY proud of you!! I used to DREAD the drive home...seems like there's a liquor store on every corner (and I've been to EVERY one of them!). Now when I see the flashing neon lights advertising beer, my mind converts it into the flashing lights of a cop car...because that's where I will end up (again) if I ever drink, I just know it! Why do liquor stores always put your purchases in black plastic bags? Are they telling us we should be ashamed of what we bought? Maybe we should! I just realized the other day that I haven't seen a black bag in a long time!

Keep up your great work...stay strong and fast forward through the buzz to the reality of drinking next time the Beast pipes up. Every time you beat the Beast, he gets weaker. You can do this, I have faith in you!

          Hello Everyone,

Glad to hear Kdog that you got yourself up and out, please try to do that as much as you can, it will really help you. I ran about 3 miles today and now I am tuckered out but wow do I feel great...

K9, LOL you definitely hit the nail on the head when you were referring to those liquor store brown bags, that is too funny LOL!! I just realized that there are no more brown bags in 15 days. Sheesh, I would bring my backpack so that my landlord or neighbors would not see that brown bag!!! I agree, if I drink again the end result will be another out control weeks and weeks of binge drinking and all the drama that follows....ah no thanks I am done. Thanks for writing such great posts and words to wisdom.

Anywho, glad to hear that everyone is doing well. Keep those posts coming....it's so nice hear how we are all working so hard to get AL out of our lives. Okay, bed time...will check back tomorrow.....

          Hugs,
          Janet

Aw Kdog, no-one can beat you up more than you do yourself. Try and hold it together while you spend time with your son; get your 'fighting head' on and start over.

You can do this Kdog. I don't know of anyone that succeeded on their first try (for some it took about 50, like me)...but something WILL click. Just keep trying. What are your plans for the weekend?

Awww Kdog...sorry to hear you're feeling bad. Any idea what triggered it? I know you may not be able to put your finger on it...I know that any old thing could trigger me to drink. There didn't have to be a reason. Try to remember how good you were feeling...the clean home, the cooked meals...think of the positives of NOT drinking, there are many, just focus on that. I hope you take care of yourself today. Start over and don't feel bad, I don't know of anybody that "got" it without many stops and starts.

                            Thinking of you!!

Felt much better today, a bit nausus, but a lot better, thanks for checking it, don't really know what made me do it, just know I did and then it was over for 4 days! I just really know I can't keep going through the 1st day, Its awful!
