    Panic Attack and seizure!

    How much did he drink?

The anxiety is so overwhelming. But the panic attack was the worst, all bad thoughts imaginable raced through my head.
Hi JRons, I have a history of panic attacks & they can definitely come back during withdrawal and seizures are serious. Even if it is over by the time you get to hospital, tell them you were heavy drinker & just quit, they can prescribe a mild sedative for you to get you safely through those first few weeks. Prob some blood tests too.

The worst part of my panic attacks was feeling like I was suffocating--not able to breathe. I actually fainted a couple of times. Breathing into a paper bag can help with the hyperventilation. Let us know how you are! :h

I'm scared to even shower. My shower is like a glass box and I'm scared of another seizure and I'll fall. I just can't stop these horrible thoughts...
Sorry just saw this post too. Same thing happened to me after a bad PA. Your adrenaline levels are going to be up for a couple weeks & it will take a while to settle down. It's very physiological & not all in your head! I read a great book years ago that helped me understand what was happening to me, I'll try to find the name of it. I couldn't take meds at the time but I found that eliminating anything that elevates the heart rate--coffee, decongestants--was very helpful.

I hope by the time you read this you have seen your doc--hang in there! Let us know how you are.

        Panic Attack and seizure!

Hang in there. My panic attacks are gone now. I do still have anxiety, but I manage that by telling myself that anxiety is perfectly normal in this situation and it will pass. A few deep breaths and relaxing thoughts like imagining I am at the beach helps.
No matter how far you go or how fast you run, you can't get away from yourself. ....said at an AA meeting. It stuck with me.

          Jrons.

Please please please go to the ER. If you cant do that get in to your GP. They can do a full workup and prescribe medication that will help with the anxiety and seizures. This isn't anything to fool around with. At best it will be the reason for a relapse and at worst your health is at risk. Please for your loved ones sake go and get medical care.
