        Hi MLB -
Do you have any way of getting a prescription for AB? I'd be happy to answer any questions about it for you! Hang in there and stick close to us!

MLB, I am now in intensive outpatient therapy and for the first time am taking AA seriously and am working with a sponsor. The big lesson I have learned from both places is, depending on how far your alcoholism has gone, making pronouncements hardly ever works. I was the king of making such pronouncements and I was also the king of relapse. This battle is won by slogging through day through hard-fought day. Just take it a day at a time. It's more than just a cliche. It works. If you don't focus on the "small picture," sooner or later this insidious disease from which we all suffer is going to convince you that things "really weren't all that bad," and it's right back to square one.
In the middle of my life's journey, I found myself in a dark wood, as I had lost the straight path. It is a difficult thing to speak about, how wild, harsh and impenetrable that wood is. Just thinking about it recreates the fear. It is scarcely less bitter than death, but in order to tell of the good that I found there, I must tell of the other things I saw there. --Dante, paraphrased

Just an update. I have been AF since I started this thread, and my resolve stays strong. Icky night sweats and itchy skin, but it get's better with each passing day. Couldn't sleep last night, so buckled in with Netflix to pass the time. I currently don't have a doctor. I have a small supply of Antibuse, which I will begin taking tomorrow. May need to order more online. Thanks for your support, all!

So glad to hear of your AF time, MLB! I've recently returned to MWO after a four year absence. Last week , I ordered Antabuse, and am working on my quit plan while waiting for it to arrive. Also, working up my courage!
