    Welp, I'm back (sigh)

    Hi again all.

I did so good for a year.....Did not have one drink from March-August last year....got pregnant with my second daughter, so of course didn't drink....she was born in April. So that was over a year AF. She is now 2 months old, and BAM.....back to daily wine, back to unsuccessfully hiding it from my DH, to deal with stressors of having 2 small children.

Got into a car accident, buzzed. Thank GOD no one was hurt. What more has to happen for me to stop this ridiculousness?

My kids deserve better. I'm now on day 2....again. Changing my siggy
    AF since 3/12/13.

Completed over a year AF and fell off the wagon.
Back to it, new day 1= 7/1/14

    I'm on my way.

Welcome back, On Your Way.... first, congratulations on your little baby girl! :l

You are right, but wrong. You see, your children deserve more than "better"... they deserve you, at your best.
They will lookup to you, they will adore you, and trust me when I say: they will become just like you.
You will tickle them and teach them to giggle. You'll show them laughter and you will delight in life, as you see it through their eyes.
You will hug them and protect them - wipe their tears when they fall. The best words ever? "I want my mom".

Yes, you fell off the path. It's time to stand up, wipe off your knees, give yourself a hug... tell yourself that it's okay... and get back on your way. :h

    Hugs and Peace. Patty

Hello On Your Way and so glad you decided to come back here in our circle. Congratulations on, both your little girl's birth and the achievement of one year sober. I have a lot of respect for you and know that, although it probably won't be easy, if you did it before, you can do it again. Your kids will be a lot more enjoyable sober and you'll find after a while that your escape might come in the form of other soothing activities. I like tea and baths.

I waited until I was a grandmother to quit and know you don't want to keep putting it off. Believe me, you are worth it. We all worth of a clear sighted life, an authentic life. Give yourself that gift.

Take care and again, a hearty welcome.

If you did it once, you can do it again.:goodjob:
I used the Sinclair Method to beat my alcoholic drinking.

Drank within safe limits for almost 2 years

        AF date 22/07/13

          Dear I'm On My Way,

Congrats on your baby girl and welcome back. I remember you from the 3/11 gang. I just finished a year where I was mostly AF. I am now working toward being completely AF as I feel so much better.

You said "my kids deserve better." May I suggest that YOU deserve a better life, one without regret, shame, guilt caused by alcohol.

          Sending you thoughts of strength.
