Can you be more specific? In what ways are you not getting what you need? What do you need? Maybe writing them out will help? I'm sorry you are feeling this way....tis the season. Hugs, B

Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Jane - let us know how we can help. We have all had our worse times - they are very individual, but probably make us feel as if we are in quick sand. Drinking won't make anything better - even those things we think it might - it will be temporary relief and then we have to come back to reality and that stinks. Hang with it and believe better will come - it surely has to - right?“The only courage you will ever need is the courage to live the life you want"

Yo buddy. S'up?
Glad to hear you mention exercise. In my darkest, loneliest times, and they still aren't far away from me, i saw, and always see that taking some physical action changed/changes my headspace. Always. Sometimes a lot, sometimes not so much, but when i put on my walking/jogging shoes and leave the house i never know what i'll see, hear, smell, experience or who i'll meet.
Just my experience Jane, but getting myself out of an environment that is stressing me or draining/crowding me, and out into the big wide world with a humble walk or long jog/adventure through the parks and streets (Ronnie Goodman style), where i can reflect and think/recharge in relative peace, can reset my headspace to a more positive one, and maybe even come up with a battle plan to go back into the 'warzone' and neutralize the opposition/circumstances where they cease being a P.I.T.Ass, and become your friends.
Edit: Any 'boxercise' class or circuit training involving punching bags is always a kick ass workout that will help to change your headspace by getting the endorphins, blood, oxygen flowing.
I could be way offtrack here as usual, but just some thoughts. Take it easy my friend. GLast edited by Guitarista; December 12, 2014, 08:23 PM.

Hi, Sweet Jane:
Sorry you're feeling like that. I like NS's ideas of trying something new, and you know I'm an exercise prosthelytizer. G's idea of a box sounds pretty good.
Focus on YOU. The family stuff will work its way out eventually - one way or another.
I'm not a big fan of this time of year. I can tell you 19 days until Jan. 2.
