What a song to play Angel!

The lyrics are sheer poetry! Listening to this song at different phases of life, you tend to interpret it differently.

For me the 'Hotel' here is our addictions - to booze, to nicotine and whatever which we find so tough to extricate & reclaim ourselves from.

And especially the closing lines ring so true !!!

your post have made me think... i gave up smoking while living in the middle of Botswana bush... sounds easy...but it was while running a bush bar/lodge - that was a challenge with everyone smoking / drinking around. I thought I could conquer all - surely nothing harder that quiting smoking ?. NOT . ... so much for the fact that I have not has any cigarettes since, alcohol has slowly feed its way into my life.

Alcohol has never NOT been part of my life. My dads outings when we were kids were to sit ourside the Fairmead Hotel and get past cooldrinks and peanuts through the bar window, while he entertained the bar ( he was a great socialble drunk). Genetic / Choice / Circumstance) ?? Just want to move forward with great POSITIVE engergy... hope i have it !
