    3 years for xtexan

    Neil,
I wanted to come here today as I know that today is a special day for you. 3 years of sobriety for you today. Not a drop.

I know it has not been easy. It has been a big fight, but you have taken on the fight with impressive integrity... you have tackled the physical.. the mental.. the spiritual.. you name it you have faced life full on for 3 years.

In a world of falsehoods and lies your work and your fight for your survival is a truth.

I am very happy for you today.

    Neil,

I am so glad Brigid remembered this anniversary for you because it is truly a special one.

I vividly remember your story of being on your bathroom floor so ill and weak you weren't sure you were going to make it.

Today, you are sober, you are physically strong and you are mentally clear.

You fought your way out and won. Not an easy path but you did it!!

Thank you for being here and sharing with us because your story gives us all direction and hope for a better life. I know that you have touched mine in very positive ways.

    Congratulations.

    Love,
    Cindi

          A Big Congratulations, Neil!!!!!

Your posts have inspired me from the first post I read. You and Brigid showed me that it could be done. I remember talking with you both when Star and I were just starting on this journey, and you really helped us understand that we could quit drinking if we really wanted to and was ready to work for it.

I hope you are enjoying this day....

          3 years.......fantastic job, Neil....

          Thank You,

          Don

I am very happy for this man's progress.

And I am very thankful to him for his willingness to share his experiences along his journey, and his insights, suggestions and observations, as his abilities to express himself has benefited me greatly, and I assume others.

So I'll take this opportunity to say Thank You.

Xtexan, we dont know each other but when I first joined I was pointed towards your threads to help inspire me in my journey. They did and for that I thank you.
Today, reading that you are still going strong gives me more determination to carry on.
                  Many many congratulations.

Neil, warm congratulations from me on your 3 years of sobriety. You were one of the first people to welcome me here at MWO over two years ago and I have followed your progress since then. You have been both a leader and an inspiration to me.

I wouldn't mind betting that these last three years have been amongst the best of years for you in both tackling and overcoming the beast we call alcohol. Well done.

I haven't read your posts but some one on the monthly abs thread noted your success,

I thought it is awesome and it has helped me get over my fear of committing to a whole year AF. Thanks for that!!
