Lenair Institute - anyone got any feedback?

    Dear All,

I have been struggling for a long time with constant relapses. I heard about this place, that it can supposedly remove the desire to ever drink again. I would cut off my arms for that pleasure(mm, maybe I should cut off my arms, then i couldn't pick up the bloody stuff...)

The Lenair Healing Center. An alternative treatment for alcoholism developed by a specialist in treating alcohol addiction and alcohol abuse.

No, seriosuly, does anyone know of it or know if it works? There are plenty of convincing testimonials but I am just not sure whether it may be a scam or not.

    Wd appreciate some feedback

    Thanks

    Charlie

Charlieboy, some people experienced success, some did not. It is not guaranteed and it is expensive (which is relative). You can never drink again or it will negate what was "done or what happened" there. Alcohol must be your primary issue. I personally do not believe it to be a scam. I went and I do not drink. I have the occasional knee jerk urge reaction to a trigger. I was a 24/7 drinker. What I spent was approximately what I spent on alcohol in the course of a year.

      Hi

Cocaine and Alcohol have been my dual problems...don't usually crave cocaine unless i take alcohol..

You have not had a drink since you went there? Do you attend AA meetings?

I am desperate so therefore am tempted but its a long way and very expensive.

I just don't know what to do next. Have a real problem(not even sure why) with AA/NA. Yet can't seem to stay sober on my own for any great periods.

I am a binger, not a daily drinker. Perhaps the Leinar is not the place for me.

Man, this thing is hardcore. I pray for some rest from it.

      It shall be beat dammmit!

Charlie, have you thought about meds? Or using some sort of support? I work at an drug and alc centre and it is not 12 step (AA) based. You are in London I see so I would imagine that there are many similar places that you could check out?
Let me know if you have thought of this, or if you are struggling to find somewhere give me a shout and I will help you.
