Mama, I never shaved my head, but I cut my hair routinely. My hairdresser would ask if I'd been in 'the hair cutting wine'. UGG.

Subject: A lesson on life from a Dog and a Cat.....
Look carefully in each picture for the cat as it makes its way
down from the roof to the dog. Then, check the explanation at the end.
The story behind this picture is this:
Every day - at the same time - she waits for him.
Sometimes she barks to call him.
He comes; they rub and greet each other
and they go for a walk. They have done
this for 5 years and no, they don?t belong to the
same owners. The owners didn?t know until
neighbors seeing them together so frequently
commented to the cat?s owner, who then followed
the dog home which was a distance away - not
in a house close or next door. How it started no
one knows.
Wouldn?t it be great to have friends like this - always
There, no words needed, they just intuitively
recognize the value of each other in their lives
and act accordingly.
Live, Laugh, Love
Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.
The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Speaking of wine....last night I was at the store and I saw a BOX of wine (equivalent of 4 bottles) for $3.99. I thought "Wow...I could really be a CHEAP drunk these days!" Never mind that I don't even like wine...I'm sure I would have gagged it down somehow, after all, it was such a good DEAL! And then...bring on the clippers and scissors! HA:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Really cute pics. I have watched that Animal Planet Show of Unlikely Friends. This pic tho is a little dif, cause they just sorta found & chose ea other. Thanks for sharing PPQ.
I have cut my hair drunk. Bathed, clipped the dog in the past. Combed a furball out of Mr. McGee, I was brave. Never felt being nipped. The cat was pizzed. But, I thought I was pretty special. My dogs always loved me no matter what. There better then men sometimes, I think... :H
Lucky my hair is long, have some talent & didn't go Wild. :H Even more lucky I'm a woman & don't uses rotazipper for nose hairs. Shave over an adams apple. I wonder if any guys do these things drunk? No wonder hubs rarely let me shave his face. Could have been more to this tho. A past resentment.
I tried Nair that shite burns. I had a free brow wax with holiday highlights a couple of yrs ago. That fecking hurt to. No, not again. I don't want to hear it hurts to be beautiful crap. Of course my twenty something daughters have said, Mom you should try a bikini wax, or better have a style done for Dad. NOT.
I'm with Stella & Company I will pluck eyebrows & leave all the high end salon treatments for the younger generations. Besides I don't think I'll even have to pluck much before I know it. :H
Makes me wonder sometimes why I kept drinking when it really was causing me to suffer with pain. I don't think I knew how to be happy. It almost seemed foreign in a way, even after I first became sober. My emotions are getting better at being more stable, but I still like to be silly. Having my thyroid level is a huge bonus.
In truth I do have answers, but there's as varied as the colors, sizes, shapes of the Wildflowers. What's odd as the farther I get from my last drink it doesn't matter. What matters is I'm beginning to live, really live. :-)
Have a great day!....

Wildflowers, what a wonderful, thoughtful post. Hard to believe it's been almost a year!! GADS...after that first week, time really flies!
Having an off day....my tummy hurts, I've got new RX lenses in my glasses and everything looks SMALLER, and I've got a fly in the house. (if this is the worst of my problems I'd say I'm doing pretty well, huh?) But that's the state of the union!
My hair is falling out where I want it and growing long where I don't....B

Hope you're feeling better by now Byrdie
Living here in cow country has some special challenges. When the farmers fertilize their fields - the flys come by the thousands I swear. Gross! I have a few of those nasty old sticky paper fly traps hanging in the chicken house during the warmer months, yuck.
Wildflowers, are you planning anything special for your 1 yr anni?AF since 03/26/09
NF since 05/19/09
