    I really love the way Byrdie never pressures me :H :H

    I know, deep down that I never want to feel that tremendous frustration & self disgust ever again, That alone is enough reason for me to stay on my AF path. If there are others in our lives that don't believe that - screw them. What I want & what I believe is all that matters

      Want to come help me with all of that :H? None is even begun! I can't complain, though, because it has been a great holiday with several family members, friends, and pets in and out. Things will head back towards normal sometime Monday .

      If I were to relapse, it would be a choice - and an informed choice, at that, thanks to all I have learned here. (No way to pretend I had no idea what could happen if I drank again...). My goal is to do whatever it takes to keep myself in a position to consistently make the right decision. It is a big responsibility but that is fine because I am thrilled to once again have control over this part of my life.

        Hi ladies & lads,

        Thought I would drop in and say hello, hope your all keeping good and fine, I am doing good myself ,still sober still busy, life does go fast when your alcohol free, not enough hours in the day,hope to start posting again but maybe not as intense,just to keep in touch with you all,As if it wasent for you here in MWO I be still drinking.

        In lanzarote in the Canary Islands at the moment, just brushing up on my tan, see you soon....
        Alcohol free since 13th January 2009

            I don't know if I have another quit in me. The human spirit can accomplish wonderous things. I just know that I don't want to go through the literal torture that is withdrawal including my bouts with PAWS. To that end here is wishing all of you a slightly early Happy AF 2014!

                Hey Mario!!! I'm so happy to see you! I think you and I began around the same time...but you 'got it' a lot sooner than I did!! You are the SMART one! Don't be a stranger, you've been missed!!

                I am planning to be present at work, but in body only! I'm going to take some online training modules I've been putting off, maybe I'll learn something...not sure, I think my memory is full. I need to clear out some clutter (like 1970's song lyrics and how many dimples are on a golf ball) and make room for some stuff that matters for my job!! Bah!

                  Mario, Great to see you here.

                  BIL and his lady are coming tomorrow and spending the night. We are cooking a turkey dinner. I'm all set for the eve with my flavored water.
                  My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

                    My NYE party is 10am - 12 noon with my granddaughter & her toddler class at the Y :H :H
                    I am absolutely 100% sure there will be no booze served :H

                          I guesstimate that I have spent a minimum of a year in bed recovering from al. I want to fully enjoy my life and laying in bed hurting, anxious, ashamed is not fun. So I just don't drink any more. My daughter ask me if I could ever moderate again and I said why? I don't need that anguish in my life. All over a stupid poisonous substance.
                          Happy New Year my friends.
                          No matter how far you go or how fast you run, you can't get away from yourself. ....said at an AA meeting. It stuck with me.
