she actually got into it when she was in her late 40's early 50. She's in her early 60's now. It is a very low impact style, she also does some kind of therapy for folks with back problems, other ailments. She's not suppose to do therapies on family members (not sure why) so I can't tell how beneficial it is. All I want to be able to do is levitate!! Is that asking too much??!

Lavande - am I yoga enthusiast ? after I quit AL, I took on hot yoga (yoga in a 105 F room with 40% humidity). Before November 2013 I hated yoga in general and I couldn't stand heat - go figure. I am now so hooked I go 5 times a week. It would never be possible if I still was drinking. Hot yoga is very challenging and it very hard to do while hangover I bet. Not planning to test it I really love weight loss I was able to achieve with it, but most benefits that I appreciate are related to my mind. I became a lot more focused, and my memory is a lot better, and I think overall yoga continuously helps me to be a better person. It teaches me patience (that I don't have) and ability to "let go". Yoga is great for stress relief as well. One big misconception about yoga is that the person must be flexible and limber to practice yoga. Not at all. In contrary, yoga can help many medical conditions and help you to be more flexible if you want. Due to the low impact of yoga practice it is available to all ages. Because yoga provides so mind/body benefits I believe it is a great thing yo get to for person recovering from AL. Namaste!
