Giraffe, I'm glad you like that permalink in my signature line. To me it illustrates the many things one needs to change in life to defeat the dominance of alcohol. It was the right tool at the right time for me. I don't have much other advice to share, each needs to find their own path.

Hello All,

Good see action here ! We are getting out country's (India) forth of July. So it's gonna be a long week on after 15 Aug. Will be going out of town with family to a sort of camping trip with friends. Will be coming back on Sunday then next week will be off to Mumbai for conference then a week in Europe. Will take a day out to hike in Switzerland. That is something which I am looking forward to do.

Work related stress is enhanced by so called paws the state I am in now a days. And hope fully this travelling will be a diversion I am looking for.

While struggling on issues in life not a days goes by when I thank my lucky stars for being sober !

Thanks to MWO and all you folks this journey of sobriety is hard (due to tough life!) but well worth it !

Morning everyone.
Hope you have a great AF weekend planned. I try and plan what I am doing ahead of time so I don't get surprised by an AL moment I can't handle.

Today after work I will go to Costco so that keeps me away from AL on a Friday night. Maybe the market and a bike ride tomorrow, breakfast on Sunday (with no hangover, Yay!) and a nice Sunday supper. DONE! And no AL involved.

Oh yeah.

Rahul, hope you are having fun with the Von Trapp's in Switzerland, I bet you have quite the voice

100 Day Club members/Maintenance Thread

Hi all. Today is my 300 days!!! 65 days and it will be a year. These 300 days were not easy - ups and downs, taking one day at a time like I learned here on MWO. With your support and guidance I pulled it through (well hot yoga helped too!!! lol). My hubby is doing well too, knock on the wood. Still behaving during my 300 days I also stopped eating eggs and cheese further challenging myself with almost vegan way of eating. I feel very healthy, happy, focused. I feel emotions and even that some of them are not the most pleasant ones I still enjoy feeling them through, where as before I was living in a sort if hazy maze. Thank you everybody for your kind words and all support you have given me. I am grateful for each one of you.
