Not a lot of action here, but just popping in to say hello. Glad to be 100+days. I still want AL sometimes, but it is getting easier to walk past someone else's drink and have no feeling or desire. It's my desire to get away from my stress that keeps me craving at times. And it would be pretty easy to just say - well, ok, you deserve it. But I know better, and I have you all here to call BS on that statement. Thanks!Kensho
Done. Moving on to life.

Welcome Kensho.. Hey Lav. Speak for yourself. I'm not old. Last November I celebrated my 39th birthday for the 15th straight year.Happiness is neither virtue nor pleasure nor this thing nor that but simply growth, We are happy when we are growing.

Kensho, welcome! The longer you go AF, the more you will recognize the freedom that comes to us by choosing not to drink. Google "stress relief" and see how many ideas you find including exercise and meditation. My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

The first of the month is always an AF anniversary for me.
