Great example, Peri. Nice your husband is helpful. Deebee- I'm great. Went to dinner last night and had 1 wine- I have been trying to go AF during the week but the Italian food just needed a little something (?) anyway that is my story for today. Still alot better than the heavy daily drinking I was doing for years and years. I'm a newbie but getting stronger by the day. Glad to have found you all. God bless and keep us strong today!

FOUND IT:
I dreamt I was sat on the sofa drinking through a bottle of vodka, then went out to a club with my husband and continued drinking more vodka. We were then supposed to be going to a party but we didn't know were it was. All of a sudden I found myself lost without my husband and in a crazy and bizarre looking place. I thought, 'I recognise this place, I've been here before - but I need to get back.' As I walked around I accidently slipped into a shallow gutter, I then thought to myself, 'Oh wait, I slipped in a gutter like this last time, only it was much deeper and couldn't get out - I need to be careful, I must turn around and go back.' I managed to find the steps out and as I stumbled up them woke up...Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He's the one who will keep you on track. Proverbs 3:6 The Message

You guys are making me homesick for Colorado!
These guys used to perform in Telluride quite often when I lived lived there (they probably still do...I doubt they stopped because I moved away! LOL)
There's a shot of Telluride in this video, from the ski area, looking down on the town, right where the song mentions Telluride.
(I lived there for 20 yrs & used to DJ on the community radio station there)
Oh yeah, this is the Nitty gritty Dirt Band.

Deebs,
The fact that you are angry about last night says it all. You are not that person any more.
I have 3 very good friends with whom I used to share drinks. I told them when I went AF, told them I am now an occasional drinker. They don't want to drink with me at all now! They really are very good friends. We get together and just do other things, and tomorrow will be another night out with them.My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

Ooops! Happy belated Birthday Deebs!
I would've never thought "chocolate cake" was a shooter either!
I seem to be ok moddin as long as I stick with just sipping on my lite beer. No more shots for me...
Hope you're feeling better now Hon.

Thanks St Jude! I love that song! And I love Telluride-beautiful! I think I saw a quick glimpse of the Pearl Street Mall in that slide show when they mentioned Boulder. I can see the Boulder Flat Irons from my back deck. Not much snow here yet this year except in the high country of course. A couple ski areas have opened but it's mostly man made snow at this point.

I'm with you Vlad, 56* here, no paddling for me either. It was bad enough walking around houses and barns in the freezing wind and rain on Tuesday, burr! Where are those hot flashes when I really need one!
