Ducky, I was reading one of Jamie Oliver's cook books last night and he says that if you plant basil with your tomatoes it brings out the flavour of the tomatoes as well as being an insect repellant -- gotto love nature.
Vladster, how is the tummy today? Is the heater back on?? No light in the loo -- you gotto be kidding me!
Zed, congrats on day 4!! Life sounds pretty hectic for you at work, so good on you for passing by the damned grocery store and not getting that so called "well deserved drink". BTW my coffee intake has also increased dramaticly, I am now on about 10 cups a day so I switched to de-caf and I honestly can't taste the difference. It 's great not to get the jitters in the afternoon from OD-ing on caffine.
Hugs back at ya little bro!! (I am the eldest you know ha ha ha)
St J, you'll have to translate the french for blondie here, I have of course sat here and used my imagination as to what the word must mean -- must get my head out of the gutter lol!!
You are right, a bit of time out will do both of us some good, I'm going to chat with the in-laws and see when she can go up -- soon I hope.
Sun, the more I learn about you, the more I admire you! You are a very special person to understand your sisters needs so well. Are you the eldest?
J-Vo, I had to laugh at your son having two parties. The one year my daughter managed to wangle 4 parties out of us!! One with her friends before schools broke up, one with us on her birthday, one with my parents and then another on the farm with my in-laws.
As far as the school terms go, they are broken up into 4 terms per year. So school begins mid Jan, then the first holiday is March/April which is normally about 3 weeks then the next holiday is during winter in July and also 2 to 3 weeks, finally the last one is the end of Sept for 10 days and then school finishes the first week of December only for it to begin all over again -- oh and lots of public holidays thrown in. I think the total number of days that they go to school is about 100!! Is that very different from you guys?
Peri, you and hubby sound like a great team in the kitchen. I love watching couples interact in the kitchen -- makes me all warm and fuzzy... must be cause my poor Pops was permanently banned from the kitchen because he would use every pot and pan in sight lol!!
Eve, have you left yet? I'm thinking of you and hubbs having an amazing time -- can't wait to hear all your news.
Lila, I hope today is a HAPPY day for you -- kick SAD up the butt
Vera you are so right that even though we dont' all celebrate Thanksgiving we should take time out tomorrow (it is tomorrow hey?) to think about all we are grateful for in our lives. I am planning on cooking a special SA version of pumpkin pie and our little family will be celebrating Thanksgiving DeeBee Style.
LIMERS!!! I just posted on your thread that you should join us here and here you are -- bloody marvellous!! So come on, spit it out, what's the plan?
Hey O2m, I read on Limers thread that you were toying with the idea of modding. Want to tell us what's going on in the feckin little leprechauns life?!??!??
