in an attempt to eliminate my (hopefully)irrational fear of AL withdrawal i was looking online about the odds of going thru AL withdrawal. Everything thing i read says that "heavy drinkers" are at risk of serious AL withdrawals. So, ask, what then constitutes a "heavy drinker". And now, i find that the CDC says that women that consume more than 1 drink a day are considered "heavy drinkers".
or some resources say more than 8 drinks a week for women or more than 4 drinks in one sitting.
So, i don't take much stock in the American guidelines for alcohol because i feel like we attach a moral stigma to drinking and therefore have a very low guideline.
however, i always thought "heavy drinking" was drinking a bottle of vodka everyday.
so when an article says that if you are a heavy drinker you are more likely to get serious withdrawals, are they talking about the CDC definition of a heavy drinker?
so, what do you think constitutes a heavy drinker.
by these standards i am a heavy drinker so now i'm even more scared about the AWD.
