    Well it's Thursday and last work day for me. Yippee!! I only have tomorrow and two more Friday's off till Fall semester starts back. Then it's back to the grind.

    Slept fitfully, as usual. Still, of course, no hangover, so that's a plus. Hope everyone is having a great day!

      Good Morning Everyone - Hope everyone is off to a good hangover free start like me Had a really nice evening - Made some dinner and my 18 year old son had 2 friends over so every last drop off food was eaten - Should make me feel like I must of made a great dinner but 18 year old boys will eat anything and everything and LOTS OF IT! Watched the latest episode of Hell's Kitchen and had 2 beers and got to bed by 9:30ish - Feeling great this morning - I do find without the liquor I sleep pretty good but wake up extremely sleepy at first - guess it is the lack of heart racing an anxiety that would wake me up after a night of heavy drinking - Anyway it passes fast and I feel GREAT - I leave for work at about 5:40am and have about a 25m drive into work, If I am hung over I spend it flipping from one talk radio station to another in an effort to occupy my mind with something but when I am not I flip from song to song and sing along and get lost in my thoughts and really enjoy my ride in - Today was a sing along morning and I am grateful for that. Hope everyone has a sing along day

        LG - I think I recall seeing commercials for The Killing and saying to my Husband - That reminds me of the early 90's series Twin Peaks (not sure how old you are if you remember that) And I loved that so I will for sure check it out. Breaking bad is VERY GRAPHIC. Lots of drugs and violence so if you don't care for that then its not for you but seeing as you watch Son's I really think you would like it.

          I got to where I couldn't take anything on the radio but talk radio when I was drinking (heavily) too, vliven. Never thought it was related to drinking, but to getting old, lol. Now I like both, but listen to music more again.

            We really do need a few more visitors in here..... maybe I could go recruiting in the NN - HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

            Almost one 2:00 here I leave anywhere between 3 and 4 not having any concerns about stopping at liquor store, just looking forward to another relaxing evening with Dinner, some reading and some TV with Hubby.

            Hope everyone else's day has been going well

                :upset:I am ill as a hornet. Went to the grocery store on the way home and got some good stuff to cook...decided I would like to get some beer too, and bought some raspberry wheat ale. It's disgusting and was nearly 8.00 before tax. I can't even drink the one I opened. Not to mention I was in a good mood and happy about it being the weekend for me, and bf was laying in the bed when I got home. Got up and said he wasn't feeling well, not to talk to him. Well, that fucking did it. I am so angry I could spit nails. This is my AF life. Isn't it great? He's back in the gd bed and I'm sitting here alone on this fking laptop, can't cook for one person, and miserable.:upset::upset:

                  woah woah woah there LG - this is not your life, this is now and it may be shitty but your life is not, run back out and get summin u like------ or maybe the gods knew u would get home to BF in a crappy state and forced u to grab some shitty beer so you would not be able to down a six pack in your frustrations! my hubby pissed me off last Friday night by going to bar early and winding up too drunk to drive or meet up with our friends and that is what led me to run out for liquor YUCK!!!!!!

                  You seem to have a lot of hobbies you enjoy do whatever u wanna do, be happy it's your weekend, maybe play golf on yer own, read, watch a movie u know all the things you would tell one of us if we were in your shoes,,,,,

                  But feel free to continue to vent n stuff I know it helps!

                      I wish I could get my money back, lol. This stuff blows. I'm not drinking it.

                      I called my mom and had a good cry, and I feel a little better. Bf got back up and turned the golf game on again. It's all he does now. OCD, I think. When he finds a video game he likes, he plays it non-stop, all night long, all day long. Drives me up a wall. Oops, got mad again.

                      I think I need to go to bed early and start over tomorrow.

                      P.S. Now you tell me vliven, lol. I wish I had known about that beer when I went. Sounds good, but maybe not good enough to get back into the car. Maybe next time. Thanks for the tip.

                        Going to bed early is always my go to option! Especially since I am a morning person.... Glad u had a good dump on mom session those always help......

                          Yeah it was good to talk to her. I am glad she is happy, although she is in a nursing home. Her mind is getting a bit off...she told me she was about to go uptown in her wheelchair. You have to laugh. But, in the middle of talking to me she said, do you feel blue? And, it was so sweet that she can still tell how I'm feeling. Poor, lovely Mama. I'm going to see her and spend some time tomorrow.

                            Been home a little over two hours now passed up that liquor store and have yet to crack a beer.... Putzed around a bit a few lil chores prepped dinner and read a bit. Hubby should be home soon.... It's his Friday... He works 4 10's getting a bit nervous for weekend don't wanna slip up!!!!

                                Thanks LG I like that saying...... However, I do want to be prepared.... One of my biggest weaknesses to wanting to drink on the weekend is that I am usually exhausted from long work week and my hubby spends Fridays off.... I come home and need to unwind and he is pumped and ready to go... My solution would always be take a couple shots to get me going.... I think tomorrow I will try something different maybe come home, get outta work clothes... Turn phone off (in my line of work phone never shuts up before 8pm) take like an hour nap then maybe a shower and an energy drink - just needed to get my plan down in writing... Headed to bed here at 9:20 only 3 bud select 55s (AL content equivilant to 1.5 lite beers) feeling relaxed yet sober...
