    Gratitude - please add on!

    Amen. Self control, discipline, we can do this. Today I am grateful to be a part of a Women's Bible Study in our community that has all denominations, and we can treat each other with respect wherever each is in her journey. It felt so good to be sitting amongst like minded people.

      Gratitude - please add on!

      Today I am grateful for the privilege of having been able to comfort a different friend, in a sad situation. I am also grateful for the MWO friends who sent kind thoughts my way concerning the memorial service yesterday. AND, I am grateful for silly tv shows which help me laugh through evening hours during which I used to be drinking! (And some of them are awfully silly...) FF

        Tonight I am grateful that I got my linen closet organized as its been bugging me for ages...and I'm grateful that I rewarded myself with an apple and iced tea instead of what I used to reward myself with.

          Gratitude - please add on!

          Today I am grateful that I have a home close enough to my brother's so that he and his family can just drop by on the spur of the moment.

          Also, I am happy that we are both re-wiring our brains, consciously or otherwise, so that re-connecting with each other does not necessarily include celebrating with booze.

          For many, many years, every time we got together, the first thing we did was to "have a drink."

          We enjoyed it, to be sure, but by now we are both aware of the health risks. FF

            Today I am grateful to my modder friends who support each other and defend each other. I am happy we have a strong group again so we have other shoulders to lean on.

              How kind of my modder buddies to send me messages to help alleviate my sadness...I am grateful for all of them. and, I am grateful for the technology which invented CT scans and ultrasounds to help medical science with our health needs. FF

                Technology and clarity

                This morning I am grateful for the technology that enables me to stay in touch with far-away loved ones, via Skype, and for the skills I have learned from MWO which help me to be as clearheaded at 8 pm as I am at 8 am, thanks to no more 5pm drinking. FF

                  Today I am grateful for the great friends I have in my life.
                  I'm also grateful for my wonderful wife, who never gave up, and as a result I have two beautiful 11 week old boys! I'm very grateful for my boys.
                  Well the 1st are the hardest days don't you worry anymore.
                  When life looks like easy street there is danger at your door.

                    Thank goodness visiting family arrived safely...and, today I am grateful to have read thoughts recently posted on the weekly AA thread, concerning patience and listening to others with humility instead of self-centered-ness. Instead of viewing this reunion as a tiresome and tiring hostessing event, I can choose to see how much I can learn in the next few days, trying to incorporate both patience and humility. thanks, MWO members!                       The miracle of airplane travel never ceases to amaze me...yesterday I was grateful that our youngest daughter arrived safely to be with us, and this morning I am grateful for the clarity which has come to my mind since I began implementing the MWO program. thanks, Roberta Jewell, for the program, and MWO members, for so many insights presented via the forums!                         Today I'm grateful for my beautiful daughter and little twin boys, my lovely wife and the time we spent together this past weekend. I'm also grateful for this site, which has allowed me to reach what I once thought of as an unreachable goal: 100 days AF!

                            Today I am grateful that I am free of my old habit of "drinks" every day at 5 pm. I am also grateful that all extended family members are safely back in their own "nests!" FFP

                              As I fight with my unruly hair, I am grateful that it is thicker again, due to overall health improvement after avoiding liquor. I never realized thinning hair was a consequence of too much booze! Also, my hair started re thickening almost as soon as I began taking the All One vitamin supplement I ordered from this website. Thanks again, Roberta Jewell and MWO !

                                I am grateful to have seen my first wood stork of the season, that Hurricane Sandy spared Florida, that we have good buddies in whose worldview alcohol is irrelevant, and that my lessened booze consumption has led to miraculous mental clarity when working the Sunday jumble! FFP
