    hi modders, Monday has gone well, no desire to drink so far. LG great work!

    I'm keeping track of everyone's af days in the first post of this topic so we can see our progress. Lots of af days so far for us modders this week!

      Whoop whoop feeling great this Tuesday morning after an AF Monday.... Slept great too! Shooting for another AF day today but know that I have yet to get two days in a row down....

        O, I mentioned yesterday Mondays were easy cause hubby wasn't home.... He has never known about my problem with Liquor so I find it hard to tell him I don't feel like having a beer tonight.... So hence the fail on Tiesday evenings usually.... I have devised a plan.... I'm telling him I think I have a UTI and just need to be drinking cranberry juice and water than after a few days I am going to tell him I noticed how much better I felt all day when I passed on the few evening beers and plan to do it more often for my health ...... I know lying to a SO is not usually a good thing but in this case it's worth it!!!!

          Yay vliven! it feels good to really sleep well doesn't it? You can get through tonight, it sounds like you've got a plan in place. It can be really hard not to drink when your DH does like FF was saying, you sort of feel like you're missing out, but it's one day out of your life, try to think of it that way, and how good you'll feel tomorrow! Proud of yourself, well rested, ready to face the world with extra gusto in the morning

          Onward to an af Tuesday! How is everyone else going?

            Thanks for the kind words, DG.
            Monday was a quiet day at home for us...at one point, the possibility of going out to eat came up, but in the end dh decided to stay home, so my naughty red little red devil slunk away and I calmly drank my decaf iced tea.
            As soon as the "witching - cocktail hour" is passed and I have officially eaten dinner, I am ok, but getting to that point can still be a tiresome struggle.
            And now, in the am, it all seems so darn easy! like with cigarettes, how I wish I had never started...oh well. happy Tuesday, everyone... FF

              Hey, good morning, everybody! Due to dh travel delays, I was at airport to pick him up at 11:15p. Obviously, with driving no alcohol.

              Looks like you all had a successful Monday! This is already getting harder because I no sooner dropped dh off at work when phone rang, he talked to old friend and instead of them meeting for lunch, guess what, all 4 of us out to dinner tonite. GGggrrr. And because dh gave him some biz years ago which made him a ton of money, I'm fairly sure he will treat and there will be bottle(s) of wine on table.

              Guys, I'm not going to stress over this but go with the flow. Do I have to drink? Of course not. But situation is hard. Maybe I'll be designated driver. Sorry if it sounds like I'm making excuses. Maybe that's why Eve didn't join us - she is on vaca this week too.

              Anyway, good job guys!

                  TMH, a situation like this is precisely why I need to stick with us modders! Good luck...hope the food is delicious ... I keep telling myself, the food is the point at a nice restaurant... and have fun, no matter what you decide! FF

                      TMH - just a bit of soul-baring here, when we would go out to dinner with another couple and the bottle of wine was ordered. (which often seemed to take forever to arrive and get opened...no angst here...lol) if one of the other women passed on the wine, usually with a meds reason, I recall, I was always ambivalent....secretly a bit envious, as I felt she then appeared more ladylike than I, but also secretly happy, as it meant more wine for me! So, whichever way it goes, you might be doing someone else a good turn! FF

                        Tuesday is now officially over for me, as bedtime is nearly here...and another AF day for the record, thank goodness. Today has been delightfully quiet and uneventful...but tomorrow, the dentist looms...can't remember if this hygienist takes blood pressure readings or not! Oh dear! Good luck, guys...let's all have a good Wednesday! FF

                                Just a thought...I wonder how Dancing Girl has been? She hasn't posted in a while, and she used to like to post AF days, I remember...check in, DG, if you have time! FF
