LB - forgot to respond to your question about talking to my doc. Yes, I have. That's how I got the prescrip for Trazadone. Initially felt it helped greatly, was taking it regularly, then seemed to have an uptake of anxiety, right to point of panic attacks. Read side effects on the Traz - may increase anxiety or panic attacks. Abruptly quit the med but did not toss. Maybe I can use on a "as badly needed" basis. You are right. Insomnia is the pits!

DG- you jinxed me, I actually did have beer both Wednesday and Thursday so I was only AF Sun, Mon & Tuesday this week as I know I will drink over the weekend, missed two days at gym also, I will get back on solid track Sunday

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend, I do not have any set plans, park with doggy, pedicure and waxing, maybe that beginner yoga class... Tonight is our City's First Friday event downtown (first Friday of every month) just a bunch of art, food and music.... we may go to that but I really don't wanna leave pup that long so we will see.

ok now the tallyboard looks more healthy oh if someone posts they are going af, I don't count it unless it's really late that night or after, so you'll have to tell me at the end of the night or the next day etc. if it went ahead as planned because I don't want anyone to feel ashamed if they ended up drinking and have to tell me to delete the af day.

TMH, great news on the new grandchild! what a cute way to tell DH. Isn't technology wonderful that you can chat like that from so far away?

Friday was af for me but saturday I'm getting my drink on (ok not really, just a little :H )

V I'd be a bit careful with doing much with your pup for the next week just because whenever I've had a girl spayed the vet has always said no running, jumping or exercise for a week and to keep them as quiet as possible and only let them outdoors to go to the toilet. I know it doesn't seem like spaying is a big deal because it's done all the time but it's still pretty major surgery because they've just removed her ovaries and uterus, and from what my vet has told me in the past, you can have real problems if they don't take it easy during recovery. Anyway, I don't want to nag but I'd skip the park and just keep her quiet this week while she's healing from the surgery.

Fri was not AF. We did both - golf and dinner. Other golfers were going in at same time so we didn't feel so strange, and we order and eat in bar area rather than the dining room.

This a.m. looked at calendar to schedule what days we want to spend in MN for Christmas. Checked flites. Going up is cheap, coming back this way is expensive. ((sigh)) We were on a Sun Country program where we had a guaranteed rate, but I noticed our Ufly card expired in Sept. Dh thinks they have been still charging us, we just don't have new cards. I called, but of course, freq flyer biz hrs are Mon-Fri. So we may end up driving. Back to the drawing board.

Lg I start the week on sun every week with the tallyboard anyway.
so far sun has not been good, I had to take one of my dogs to the after hours vet because her skin had turned red! It was all very weird and looked horrible. the vet said she's having an allergic reaction to something and she's had a shot of steroids and is on pills for a week for it. why do these things always seem to happen on a weekend when my regular vet is shut

We keep re-inventing ourselves over here and it's all good. I like this thread to give those encouragement to really stick to some AF days even though most people posting here are truly moderating and allowing (without guilt) a drink here or there during the week. You had asked on a previous post whether I was joining the weekly tally board and I wanted to say I probably will not as I have gotten to a pretty consistent place at this point in time (which for me is usually AF throughout the week without a struggle and no more than 2 drinks per night if I drink on the week-ends). I will *see* everyone on our monthly mod site however and please old mod squad members, help keep an eye on new members or lurkers on our monthly mod site. I may miss some of the personal info you post here so please don't think I'm ignoring you. Perhaps you can share your stories as well on the monthly mod site.

Seems like everyone had a nice weekend...........

I did until a stomach flu hit me yesterday and today I just feel drained from it..

I was not AF Friday or Saturday but was Sunday and Plan to be thru Thursday this week....


DG, yes we are trying to keep the pups activities to a minimum we have not taken her out but she does run and jump and play outside, kinda hard to stop a puppy...

Good morning. AF Mon., a few beers Sun afternoon on the golf course...plan on AF most days this week. Not sure what will be going on as my mother fell last night and fractured her hip. She is going into surgery this morning, and she is 89 yo and weak. She also has had a hip replacement and also has a pace maker. My sister said that they are concerned she will get pneumonia if they don't go ahead immediately with the surgery...I don't quite understand that, but maybe Eve would. I'll be going there soon and may be able to give updates by mobile later.
