Haven't been AF. Doubt tonite will be as it will be an emotional day for sure, one way or the other. Off to play golf, then vote. Tonite I think deli food is in order, or takeout of some kind because I'm sure we will be glued to the tv.

LG- I am sooo sorry. I can not imagine how rough it must be to watch her go thru this and be utterly helpless and on top of it having to just trust what Dr.'s tell you is best.... My heart goes out to you and your family and I hope for your mothers safe surgery and swift recovery. Nice to hear about all your golf outings you seem to really be taking a liking to it and seems the tiger woods battles have greatly reduced since BF not only gets away from game but you two get to spend time together.

TMH - Did you procrastinate until election day or do you just like voting on election day? I only vote on election day. I love to wait until after work and walk the few blocks to my elementary school polling place then go back and watch it all play out on the TV. Take out does sound like a good idea but we did a lot of that last week with all the puppy happenings and I have resolved myself to eating at home Sunday thru Thursday this week (even if that means a frozen pizza )

Thank you all for the get well issues, I ate very light yesterday and made it thru all day at work and then some, then went home and got all caught up from what I missed on Sunday. Made it to Gym this morning and weather is beautiful and I am feeling absolutely fabulous!

I was AF yesterday and still plan on continuing thru the week. I have been noticing more temptation and a decrease in the swift ability to brush those off, just need to stay conscious of that though...

Because your mother will not be able to get up and walk with a fractured hip she is prone to pneumonia (as she would be lying down somewhere with a fractured hip). So, I am guessing that is why your sister made the statement. Just be sure after the surgery she uses an incentive spirometer which is a device people blow into (a little exercise device for the lungs) and painful as it will be... that she works with physical therapy and with proper hip precautions is getting up and moving as soon as possible too. Good nutrition is imporant for recovery so hopefully she will have family advocates that can visit and be sure she is eating (I have seen trays go untouched with staff being too busy to assist the way one would like). That is why family is so important if they live close and can visit.

V - no procrastination at all! Don't understand the early voting. Only reason I can see is if you will not be where you are registered. I'm confident that lines will not be as long. Could be wrong. Think I heard during early voting they have like 6 machines compared to LOTS on election day.

Only played 9 holes, got rained out. And darn, think I was in the money. Big betters, we women, a whole $2. May be standing out in the rain waiting to vote. Dh not home so I'm assuming he is playing the full 18. He was on opposite course, and it is often true one gets rain, the other not. Such a life we lead.

I take glut And kudzu and drank 3 times in 3 weeks, each time 1-2 glasses of wine instead of 1-2 bottles daily in the past.

Does anyone feel like eventually they lose their effectiveness? Any concerns of liver or kidney damage from long term use?

Hi Pauly,

I take the AllOne Vitamin supplements everyday, and L Glut when I remember it. I also take Milk Thistle before and after I go out for dinner or a party where I might/do drink, to help my liver. And, I take the chewable calcium candies with vitamin D, one after lunch and one after dinner.

thanks for telling me about where to find calm forte. You can read my mind, I swear! I read great things about it and was just wondering about where to find it... Your vibes to me also totally stopped that court testimony!!! I just found out today that the child was removed from that mentally ill lady on that day. So I'm glad I wasn't there to testify against her. Let her be mad at someone else just not me.

Welcome Wanting! - Nice to meet ya, please tell us more about yourself.... have you ever done even a few days AF?

Was not long ago I could not do ONE then I could not do more than one then I took the leap to 5 (Sunday thru Thursday) and I have had little to no problem with it.

Many here though don't have such a routine life and find themselves with fun things to do like golf, dinners with friends and dates with SO's during the week and they don't go a straight 5, some of us set goals for how many days in a week (Sunday thru Saturday) they would like to remain AF or some of us just have limits on how many drinks in a week. Whatever our personal goals are here we all seem to be able to support each other equally and it is a real nice non judgmental place to be so again WELCOME!
