    Sunday~July 15

    yeah, me again...
speaking of bf drinking and driving (in my car, no less, and with kids in the car, more importantly) - I am quite ready to insist that he leave. As some of you know, I told him a few weeks ago that I wanted him to move out because of the drinking. He has since worked on moderating... but well, suffice it to say he had downed several beers before noon today. He has desire to quit, I know it can be a long road to finally get there - it sure was for me - but the road is our own, the individual's. I would like to be there for him, but I have my own road to traverse. Meanwhile, I don't want his behavior, drinking and flippant attitude around my daughter any longer.

I'm not sad about it at all anymore. A little impatient, I wish he could move out tomorrow....

I think you have taken your time in coming to the decision of asking your bf to leave.
I'm sure it was not easy. It takes awhile to get used to the idea too - which I think you are doing now. But you sound stronger and stronger with each post. I wish you all the best and I think you can do whatever you set your mind to!

btw....I have vacuumed and wow is it a great vacuum! Kinda icky to see all that cat hair though.

Lisa, you'll have to say how you like it. I've been dying to get one of these, but can't bring myself to spend the money.

hey marcie - we were posting at the same time. I love it but do feel a little guilty about the price. Although someone at Linens N things gave me a 20% discount coupon so I got it 20% off which helped.
But I really really like it. It has a great attachment for stairs and can be used on hardwood floors.
            With three cats....it's great.

Ima, I think Lisa has hit the nail on the head! re your decision with asking your bf to leave being a long time coming.

with situations like this, I always suggest taking a break from each other eg say 3 months and if it's meant to be it will be. I'm not sure if it's great advice but it sounds reasonable to me and I totally agree with you... you need to travel your own road now. This is a time in your life where you really need to be selfish and put yourself first. You are sounding absolutely fabulous Ima. It's so so good to see, and yes, I know exactly what you mean on the previous page!

Lisa, that vacuum sounds great! I haven't heard a bad thing about those Dyson's. We just spent a shite load of money on a mattress... a lot more than I'd normally spend on a mattress... you'll get over it and I bet that vacuum lasts you for years! So it sucks really well, does it? I might just have to save up for one myself! :H

Lisa-my Electrolux is to die for. At one point it also stopped. We went out & got some other kind that was rated excellent but couldn't light a candle next to the Electrolux. Then one day I turned the Elect. on & it went on. Come to find out the hose was a little clogged & it was overheating-that's why it would turn off.

                    hi all -
Looks like a "homebody" day all around! Spent the day shopping (Costco - it's a love/hate thing) and cleaning. I have a Dyson animal too. I got mine factory refurbished to lessen the guilt, but like scooby said...it's something you will definitely not regret buying.

Ima - sending hugs your way. It's got to be hard to face that kind of decision, but you have to do what's right for you!

Cheers all around... logging off b/c of a huge thunderstorm heading this way (don't want to fry my computer!)

                      Hi All,

I've been catching up on filing all day, so I guess I've been doing my own "homey" thing. Getting the papers filed will go a long way toward making my house look better, although I have the feeling that I have a paper plant in the house that will sprout new papers to file while I am asleep. It's never ending! At any rate, it feels good to get something done.

So Dysons are the thing huh?? Lisa, I'm glad that you are enjoying yours. I'll mention it to my sister, she likes spending the largest amount possible on anything that she purchases, so a Dyson ought to be right up her alley!:H

Ima, you are sounding very strong these days. I'm glad you are coming to a place where you are feeling more resolved about your bf. You know we'll be here for you!

Everyone else sounds great, so I'm sorry not to say hi to everyone by name buy you all know I luv ya! I'm going to go get some much needed rest!

                      Hugs to all,:l

Scooby - regarding your comment about a 3 month break... actually we had a 20+ year break. We were high school sweethearts/first love... reunited last year.
I have it in my mind that I wouldn't dare try with him again unless he had been sober for a very long time (well, me too of course). No way I'm going to do the relapse roller coaster - I lived my teen years with that, with my parents. It was f-king hell.

Anyway, thanks all, sleep well, sweet dreams!
                        love and hugs all around....

Kathy, I have also just totally resorted my home office... in a big way. The label maker came out of it's box and there isn't a file in sight that is not labeled. My office is open plan to the living room area and it looks divine! I should get Mick to take a pic of me in my spotless dust free office and post it! :H

Ima... it really sounds like you're in a good place and moving forward. Yes!
