You sound FABULOUS DAHLING!! Is there a web site that has some pictures of the area where you are going in search of trails? Heck - maybe I can learn more about the world as part of the overall international experience here. Come out of my redneckness so to speak!

Have a fantastic day to go with that fantastic mood sound!!

I figure garlic is not an herb...but what is it???? (besides stinky) Trivia question of the day?

          Sunday 22nd woooo wooooo!

Top of the morning to your, Determinator, Doggygirl, sammys. It's a beautiful day up here in Canada and hubby and I are going to take off and do SOMETHING this afternoon, We used to be big golfers but since moving to the big city we left behind our lovely local golf course, and not so convenient anymore. Loved it, though, prob a good goal to get back into that and away from the sauce. On a HAPPY HAPPY NOTE! We seem to both be in gear for kicking the bottle again, I bought a wide variety of different kinds of non-alcoholic drinks yesterday, and we are going to sample and find our favs. I think mine is going to me (NO VODKA) tonic and lime. Forgot how great that tastes, with a little imagination it could almost be alcoholic! Have a great day, guys, you are my salvation, and you are going to be getting sick of hearing from me!

**waving to Hannah!!** You sound very chipper today!! Have fun out and about with hubby. Good that you are doing this together - it's sure a bonus to have that support at home.

**waving to sammys** Do you know the answer to the trivia question "Garlic is not an herb, so what the Sam Hill is it?" Or maybe it's really just a nick name for Deter????

              HAPPY SUNDAY!!!!!!!

                garlic...

DG -- I think garlic is a root...

Hannah -- it is fun trying out non-alcoholic bevs... I do like tonic but found I hated the "empty calories" funny I NEVER used the term "empty calories" when I drank chardonnay ... but I find that club soda and/or sparkling water with a splash of juice can be refreshing ... my grandmother was born in Canada -- on Prince Edward Island -- my grandfather played hockey & his career brought them to Boston -- today is her b-day she would be 120!!! (she died many years back in her late 70s) -- just a littlle aside ....

Hope all are enjoying Sunday ... Liz

                  Sunday 22nd woooo wooooo!

For those of you who are interested, I believe that garlic is a member of the onion family, and yes, it is a root vegetable. I love garlic, although probably not in as great a quantity as the Deter family.

StillCrawling, Prince Edward's Island! That's Anne of Green Gables country. I still love those books, even though I am well into middle age. It's nice to see you here, too. Welcome. I read your post on the Mom's thread in GD, Still Crawling. I lost a brother when I was 13, and my Mom nearly lost her mind. It took her years and years to recover. That was 38 years ago come September. I sometimes wonder what life would be like if I had a big brother and that tragedy didn't happen in our family. Anyway, bless your Mom. I hope she still gets comfort from having you!:l

Nice to "meet" you, too, Hannah. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and SC better. I'm glad your husband is into kicking the bottle too, Hannah.

DG you sound infectiously happy, as usual! Keep up the good work!

Starlight, I read your other post on GD, and I was very moved. I'm glad you are here. I look forward to reading your posts.

Anyway, all is quiet here. I managed to get a walk in this morning, and it is amazing that it does energize me quite a bit. I'm going to clean out the back bedroom and start organizing it later. I'm also going to clean off my daughter's old desktop computer to give to my mom, since Maddy is getting a laptop for college.

At any rate, I really got a good sleep in this morning. It was really nice.

                  Hugs,:l

                      go team indeed!

Hannah and Starlight, nice to have you abord the AB train!

ok, garlic is indeed related to onions. Actually if memory serves me well garlic, leeks and onions are all members of the lilly family and all have powerful cancer fighting properties.

ok, after eating way too many chocolate covered espresso beans I've changed my mind.

Garlic is the holy sacrement of the religion native to those from my planet.

Planet "X" of course. (we are very private people and have been expelled from all corners of the galaxy for our inexplicable sense of humor and strong odor)
