Hey, all. Always seems like I am about the last post of the evening, everyone else pretty much in bed by now, I guess. Just checking in, not feeling too humourous or witty, just wanting to congratulate everyone on their latest AF day, and welcome all the newcomers.

We had word tonight that Guerrino is now refusing any IV fluids or intervention of any kind - this is his decision and I guess I can't blame him, not much quality of life there. He has been refusing to see anyone except the minister, and also saw my son, Reid, (22) yesterday - Reid and Guerrino have always had a special bond. Reid phones us when he left their house, and was crying so hard that we told him to pull over and sit a while because we were afraid he'd get in an accident. Wendy has told me that she would like me to be there "after", that's when she figures she will really need me. So tomorrow I'll pack my suitcase and be ready to go when we get the call. Again, I am asking for your prayers, for both Guerrino and his family.

You are such a special bunch, I appreciate you all very much. Does anyone know if there is a forum something like this only for widows? I am thinking if Wendy had something like this it would help her out a lot during all those lonely evenings to come.

Wow - So much new stuff on here since I was last online (real busy weekend!) that I am not going to try to say hello to everyone - so just a great big Congratulations to all who have made it thru the weekend AF, and a big welcome to the newcomers to this madhouse of a thread.

Must pick up on Satori as a male cheerleader tho'!

Lets see - He has wit, wisdom beyond his years, the flexibility and core strength of a rock climber, the endurance of a marathon / half marathon runner and is currently training for yet another triathlon, yet he has the lightness of touch and movement that comes from practicing Tai Chi.

A quick check in as I've got a bunch of stuff to do and as you all know, procrastination is my strong point, so although staying here for a couple of hours is my thing to do by choice - fraid I've go t to be good! -

Hannah, wish there was more we could do - I'm afraid I don't know of anything like this available for bereavement - it's such a good support ... Hang in there and my thoughts are with you and your family - I know waiting for the call must not be easy, but I hope Guerrino is soon at peace...

DG - thak you so much for your energy and commitment to these threads! - you are soooo good at keeping it all together and setting the wonderfully positive tone to the whole thing!

Well I'm happy to say that 'la voiture' is now legal - added a certain amount of 'eau de toilette' to finish off the ensemble this time, and lo and behold - the crowds parted and straight to the front desk! ' Ah, it eez you - you came yesterday, no?' 'Yes I flippin came yesterday!' 'You ave your peppers today??' - YES! birth certificate, marriage certificate, bills to prove address, French 'green card' to prove that someone in France accepted that I was me at some point! - and he photocopies the whole lot! Then on to the next window - "Ehh! It eeez the dame anglaise - she 'as come back- she as 'er peppers so can get 'er garte grise - zat weel be 226 Euros, s'il vous plait!' - No, it doesn't please me, but what's a girl to do - so poor but legal, apart from the 2 new tyres I need to get - I think a push bike is starting to seem very attractive at the moment!

Hi all! This is probabably going to be my shortest post ever. (I can hear the sighs of relief through the cable wire!). Gotta run but wanted to say hi to all, a HEARTY WELCOME to the new Booze Busters, and congratulations for every gold star proudly earned.

((((HANNAH HUGS)))) I dear friend of mine was widowed at 42 - it was very hard for her as I'm sure this will be for your sister. I know that grief counseling was very important for her. I will ask her if she is aware of any on-line resources. Once I get a chance to catch up with her, I will send you whatever info she gives me. I am so sorry for this situation....there are no words.

Off to take dad to his annual check up at U of Chicago. It's Day 27 - YEAH!!! Nice to be hitting the road for this annual trek with no hangover!

The almostfamous family is taking off again. We are heading to grandma and grandpa's. This is going to be my toughest challenge yet. I re-ordered kudzu and it's not here. I may be going on L-Glut and willpower alone. I will miss reading the posts. Wishing everyone a great week!!!!!!

Congrats to all for another AF weekend! I am on Day 26 and moving along better than i ever thought I would be! 4 more days to knowing what it is like to achieve what seemed like an impossible goal and I owe so much of it to each one of you!

I actually had a realization while driving to work today, it hit me how incredible I felt going to work, wide eyed, aware of my surroundings and not feeling like I had been hit by a truck or fearing that I would be "found out" by a co-worker/boss! Now if thats not a great way to start a Monday morning, I dont know what is!

Whew, I dont like doing Doggy's job, not as easy as it appears!! Hope she is back tomorrow morning until then have a great night!

Hi Guys! Just a quick check in

Hubby was on computer all night so didn't get a chance to check in earlier. I am 18 days AF today - had to look at the calendar and count, it seems strange to be losing track of how many days, but there you are - never did say I could count! So:

No news today, and rather than sit around the house and mope Hubby and I took his cell phone (which is surgically attached to his hip, anyways) and went golfing. Also went golfing yesterday, good way to take your mind off things. Brings my grand total of rounds of golf for this year to two! Didn't burn up the course, by any means, but it was good to be out there. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers, you are the best.

Pinkie, you did a fine job filling in for Doggygirl. Her's are hard shoes to fill, but remember, it just comes natural to her! She will be proud. And congrats on staying AF at the BBQ!:good: We knew you could do it!

Satori, I reserve judgement on this male cheerleader thing until I see you shake your pom poms :yougo:

Another fine sunny morning in Scotland (that must be 3 we have had this summer ).
I'm feeling good - was out swimming laps this morning and am still buzzing!!!!

My - it is quiet round here without Doggy - Pinkie - you are doing a fine job of filling her shoes - If you just twiddle your enthusiasm knob up a little - and we would hardly know it wasn't Doggy!!

As to Satori's height? Well a man has to be inscrutable sometimes - maybe I'm perfect - maybe I'm not!
