BOOZE BUSTERS 30 Day Challenge - Week of 8/1

HEY I'm lovin' the new BoozeBuster logo Hannah! You've got my vote too. :alf: (ITA, looks nothing like ALF to me either) Congrats on Day 16!!!! Don't get a rash or anything cleaning house, OK? Glad to hear about the hair!

WELCOME new Booze Busters Starlight - congrats on Day 6 ******

BIG BIG WELCOME to MOTIE. You can do this Motie. Don't be scared. It's hard work, and sometimes $hit happens along the way. But at least in my ever not very huble opinion, each day without booze in it is WORTH THE EFFORT for me. Are you following part or all of the My Way Out plan as described in the book? Tell us more about yourself so we can help support you!! There is always someone around the forum to "talk" to night or day.

Accountable you sound fabulous again today. I hope you feel as terrific as you sound! Congrats on Day 4**** and enjoy your day at the lake in the sun. Can I come too?

AF!! Have fun eating mexican. OMG I love mexican food. I won't be having any for awhile so of COURSE my saliva glands just went nuts!! Eat some extra for me OK? Good for you just knowing and deciding in advance that you will not drink.

GO PINKIE!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!! (you better or else..)

Dog training is over. The Boys are out having their beer and gossiping. I'm sort of in a mellow mood today. Not a bad mood...just mellow yellow don't ya know. So I'm enjoying a little peace and quiet touching the life line, and I think I'll go see what's on Tivo this afternoon.

          Day 25 is ROCKIN'!!! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

            Touching the life line

            Booze Busters,

I like the idea of a life line here.

I hope you all are well on to an AF Sat. DG yellow mood sounds like it suits you. It is calming sometimes to let others around you just live. Like the boys having their beer. You sound like you are ok with that. I think I would find it very hard. I actually was the one in my relationship that just "had my few beers with the boys" while my wonderful wife has been AF for these last three years (without judgment of my drinking). That is my motivation to be a 30 day booze buster and hopefully to be a complete abstainer after that. With 15 years of a wonderful marriage, I'm trying not to take a great thing for granted any longer.

New Booze Busters Sarlight Impress, Accountable me, MOTIE, and others welcome and don't forget to pick up yor AF stars on the way out tonight.

            July

            AF day nine.

BOOZE BUSTERS 30 Day Challenge - Week of 8/1

Good morning boozebusters!!! I DID IT!!!! I made it thru the entire event, 3pm-11pm, without drinking!!

Honestly, I was hardly ever even tempted until the end when my usual drinking buddies had saddled up to the bar, they couldnt believe that I was not joining them but that I was leaving so early as well. I used several excuses for not drinking and none were really questioned. I kept a glass of water in my hand at all times and when someone would really push me, I told them that i had a full glass sitting on the bar, waiting for me.

I want to thank each of you for sending me your strength, support and thoughts!

Today is my 25th day AF and I am saying that LOUD AND PROUD!!!

              Have a great Sunday!

oh yeah, I forgot..I am all for the new mascot! I think the non-alf like character is perfect for this group. I think I may have dated his brother at some point in my life, I seem to recall those dance moves! Now all we need is a song and we are official!

BOOZE BUSTERS 30 Day Challenge - Week of 8/1

Good Morning BOOZE BUSTERS!! Congratulations on hitting Day 9 July, and welcome to day 10. It's wonderful that your wife has been patient and non-judgemental through the years. I go to a business referrals club meeting every Friday morning. One of the ladies in our group is a chiropracter, and she always says "the best gift you can give your family is to be healthy." Sounds like many of us are on that mission! It's not just for us, but being healthier is a gift to our loved ones too.

I wish I was a drinker like Mr. Doggy is a drinker. He rarely drinks at all. His only "regular" drinking is with the boys after dog training. He usually nurses one beer through the whole thing. If he's feeling REALLY frisky, he might have two. Some of the others ....... One of the guys is a huge drinker - probably somewhere near where I was on the scale. I "made" him for being a big drinker early on, just like he "made" me. If he snuck a beer before training was over, I wasn't gonna say anything because he knew I was into the booze around the time training started - much less when it was over. He is the one person in the group I have specifically told that I quit - the moment was right for that a couple of weeks ago. Anyway..yesterday he asked how it was going. I told him Day 25. He said "holy shit I can't go 1 day without." I hope he does something about it - he's only in his early 30's and he and his wife are trying to make babies. I so don't want him to be on the bad path. Anyway...now I'm babbling - what a shocker!!!

PINKIE!!!! :band2: :award: :kudos: You just ROCK! We knew you could do it and you did.

OK. Some hot eye candy boy cheerleaders are the prize for Pinkie. Satori, you have been nominated for this. So get your skimpy cheerleader outfit on and gimme a S! Gimme a T! Gimme a A! Gimme a R! We have a front row seat all dusted off and a complimentary camera for SWMBO. (for new folks that is She Who Must Be Obeyed aka Mrs. Satori)

Pinkie, until Satori gets here, we have a warm up eye candy cheerleader for your amusement. [ame]http://images.amazon.com/images/P/0859653536.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg[/ame]

Congratulations on an outstanding Day 24, and on to Day 25.

Collect your stars here everyone! http://www.mingara.com.au/media/gold%20star.jpg

The dreadmill is done for the day. The skies are gray so it might just be a sort of lazy one around here. That will be good! All is cool in doggy land for Day 26. Hope everyone had a great Saturday and is having a great Sunday - or whatever day it is in your zone!

Doggy, thanks for the eye candy! I do think that Johnny Dep is hot however he is too little for me, I would be afraid of breaking him! Remember I am 6ft tall so I need someone that can handle it! My motto in life (said with my hand help up above my head) "You have to be at least this tall to ride this ride!"

I know, I know, it is just supposed to be eye candy but if you are going to throw something like that at me, well I just might have to touch!

Hmmm... Yes Pinkie I can see the dilema there. Is 6'1" tall enough? You know, for some eye candy.....

I love the idea of Booze Busters and want to join with today being day 1 for me. I'm back on the program and am determined to succeed. I went 21 days AF back in April and then stupidly thought I could moderate. I appreciate everyone's support and am pleased to be a Booze Buster!! Don
