Back to Abs
Thanks for the welcomes.
It's such a feeling of releif just to have made the decision (again). I just decided a couple hours ago to stop putting it off, and I feel stronger and saner already. I even threw my cigarettes in the trash too!Hugs,

Great to see you here Ima - going AF was the only way I could get any peace and quiet inside my head - no more constant arguments about will I won't I, just one, can I make it past the shop - it's a wonderful freedom! I hope it works for you - you sound confident and determined so good for you - and to give up cigarettes too! You are one strong being!!
Good luck and look forward to seeing you around here more...:rays: Arial

Ima: You can do it. I've just completed day 34 & miss booze less & less. I have my moments, but I can get through them. The first 3 - 5 days are the worst. I took it one day at a time & tried not to look into a non-alcohol future at first. I'm an alcoholic & know that 1 drink would throw me right back into binging 3 - 5 time per week again. Good luck & keep coming here. MaryWisdom, Courage, Strength

Ima - good choice. It's the only way for me - moderating for me would be so nerve racking and next to impossible. I just choose not to put myself through the agony. You are in good company here, welcome back.:welcome:The furture lies before you like newly fallen snow - be careful how you tread it, for every step will show.

Hi Ima
For some of us, there are no other choices except abs...it's not that hard and you'll never look back. Start to call yourself a non drinker and tell other people too. It helps the mind set.
Well done.Your new life begins, you are free again!!
