Managed to get to day 6 then had some wine last night BUT didnt drink as much as my friends did and was able to go home early WITHOUT going to the off licence on way home.

Day is hell though all anxious. I can never get to Day 7.

So back to Day 1 for me. But is getting easier and am looking at the positives.

BOOZE BUSTERS 30 DAY CHALLENGE - Week of 8/13!!

Welcome Gargykath to the Booze Busters. We will do whatever we can to help you get past Day 7 next week. While I love to plan ahead and set goals (I want to be AF for life, and certainly for another bunch of 30 day sets) but I STILL look myself in the mirror EVERY single morning and say to myself that for today, I will NOT drink alcohol and I will NOT smoke a cigarette. That daily promise really helps me. I can handle ANYTHING for one day. Are you doing the hypnosis CD's? Those reinforce that (at least the way I've structured my customized stuff). WE CAN DO THIS!!

CONGRATS ON DAY 7 CHIEF!!!! I know your performance tomorrow morning as part of the all male Booze Busters cheerleader review tomorrow AM will be SPECTACULAR since you will have a clear head and no hangover. I know Hannah will enjoy that. (eh em. I promise not to peek....that's right...no peeking from me at the all male booze bustin' cheerleader review since it's not my party.....no sirree....)

Hope you all got back your assorted body parts, and no complaining, they were sold ""as is" so there are no refunds allowed.

Don't know about all you other girls, but all that dancing plum wore me out.

Satori, are you basking in the afterglow? Enjoy your day, you earned it. Love the new avator, even remember the show Kung Fu ( played by David Carridine). (Boy, am I old). I was kind of getting used to you as the kind of wierd wispy haired dude you were before. I just thought oh well, you did seem a little strange, guess you could look like that ..........????:giggle:

I actually thought I'd do much like you did, and use a new avator in celebration of my soon to be 30 stars. Was going to use a pic of myself at 25 but couldn't get it to work. So you're stuck w the doggy for now. And by the way, she is not a poodle, Paddy - carefull, carefull.

Welcome, Gargykath - congrats to you on dumping the wine down the drain. Make a new start, and jump right back in there. I myself have poured GALLONS of wine down the drain, over the years. Somehow, the last time something clicked, and I am pretty sure it really will be the last time. Something very symbolic, isn't there, in watching it swirl around and disappear down the drain - along with our distructive life style. Good luck to you, we will do our best to help you get past day #7 this time.

Rob, re feelings of having no brain - that too will pass - but I seem to be borrowing the syndrome tonite. Must be tired, still didn't sleep last night, malatonion or no - have even cut down on the coffee. Can't give up coffee too! No! No! Well, maybe have to cut down, anyhow. So will say sayonora & hit the sack early toniite.

I have a niece named Hannah - very delightful young lady now - college student "on her way" in adult life. A more sane and responsible college student than I ever was, but I digress. Her nick name was (and much to her chagrine, still IS) Hannah Banana. I always think of that when I think of you. :banana: Did anyone ever call you that when you were a kid??? I'm glad you are going to stay in for another challenge!!

Anyway...HELLO to everyone! Hope you all have a great time at Hannah's party and a great AF weekend! It's dog training here today, and maybe just R&R tomorrow. I will NOT drink alcohol or smoke today. NO WAY. Today is an AF and smoke free day FOR SURE. (they feel good)

Good Morning Everyone! Today is Day 8 for me and is the first Saturday in YEARS that I don't have a huge hangover and feel like crap! It has only been a week but the change in me and the way I think is amazing. I wish I could bottle the way I feel and send a little sampler to everyone who is stuggling through the first 3-5 days trying to get through that "minefield". Thanks to all for being here for me. I get such a kick out of watching everyone go through their own battles and racking up those AF days. I'ts great! Have a good weekend everyone and keep an eye out for The Beast... Don

Congrats Chief on Day 8!!! That rocks too - first Saturday in awhile feeling good, and ALL the good stuff that comes with AF. I think part of this game is allowing our minds to notice all the positive benefits rather than allowing our minds to dwell on how much it wants a fix, and how horrible life is without booze, blah blah blah. ROCK IT!! And you have great taste and humor in cheerleaders! OH we will have to start now to prepare for your 30 Day Booze Bustin' Extravaganza!

mm, you will get there too if we have to drag you every step of the way! Seriously, I'm so glad you came right back with a great attitude. I think that's a huge part of eventually getting everything to work. And you've already seen the Fugly Green Suit.

Dog Training went great - the weather is awesome today. Like a cloudy fall day, but only a few sprinkles and 70's weather is terrific after the summer heat. The dogs LOVE it.
