    BOOZE BUSTERS NEW THREAD 9/10

Good Mornin' Booze Busters!! Well it's off to work this am so just a quick checkin.

Hope all goes well for you next week, safe travels.

Hannah-Looks like a quiet few days here. Hope your son's move in goes well.

Londoner-That whole "How do I socialize with drinkers?" issue is one of the trickiest challenges that we face in early sobriety. It sounds as if you have a good plan. I think that may be the key, having a plan. What do I drink instead of---, What do I say if people ask why I'm not drinking, What if I just can't stand it? I think in the end we all have to answer these questions for ourselves. However, reading around the board, you find many helpful and creative solutions.

July-I'm sorry your friend/colleague gave you such a rough time. I too wonder if this guy has some concern about his own drinking or maybe he was just chosing to be a jerk. I have no idea why people seem to feel that "being able to hold your liquor" is a sign of strength. I just hope that you don't get put in that situation again.

Hope all have a great Friday.
    Love and Peace
    Rob

      BOOZE BUSTERS NEW THREAD 9/10

      Hi fellow Booze Busters

Londoner, I got through my first social occasion last week-end. It wasnt easy but I had to go and it did help to have a plan. If you are anyway unsure and want to continue past the 30 days then bringing the car would be a good idea. I know from past experience that even though I had 6 weeks AF under my belt, once I had that first drink I was back to square one and it was another year before I became AF again!! Everyone is different but think about it.

Am rushing at the moment so have to go hope you all have a wonderful week-end.
