                      Hi and thankyou Hanna, Flip, Finding, Starlight, Rob, Rustop61, Lisa, Cindi and LindZee.

                      In some ways these 30 days seems like 3 years. I feel so different and seem to have come accustomed to not drinking or smoking ie. I'm calm about it and I don't feel like I'm sacrificing anything at all.

                      The month has been emotional for a few reasons, one of which was leaving the job I have been at for 2 years. In the past I would have just drunk to deal with the feelings associated with leaving people, which involve sadness. This time I just told myself to feel it and understand that it was normal to feel sad about leaving and anxious about starting a new job. I didnt drink, had a good night sleep and caught up with people over the weekend and just felt better.

                      It's just great being sober all the time. The funny thing is I'm so busy!!! I cant find enough time to do everything.

                      A big thanks to all the people here and for the support I recieved, especially in the all important first week. I really gained a lot from reading people's stories and reading their advice about how to deal with situations.

                      To feel my self esteem return, to have people smile at me because I am unwittingly smiling again and to feel an overwhelming sense of calmness and to be able to live in good conscience all have been the biggest gifts. I will be trying to help people starting out to do the same, as you all have been.

                      Well done Kyna and The Londoner! It's such a great thing to have done!

                        it was great to read Benno above-I echo a lot of what he says, especially that feeling of calm. I still haven't decided whether to try moderation or not, but hey there's no hurry! I kept to my extreme diet change for the 30 days too and feel so light and clean inside!
                        It's just good to look at myself in the mirror-I haven't done that for years!!

                        I really don't think I could have done this without the support from everyone here at MWO-it has been nothing short of amazing, and so much better to go through this in the company of people who really understand. That's why your congratulations today mean so much. Thank you from right inside my heart!:h
