Congratulations, Mary. It has been easy to see all the love and diligence that you have put into your sobriety this time, and it has paid off. Keep up the good work!

      With love and respect,

No words can express how grateful I am to be sober today. I almost feel grateful for my alcoholism, because I wouldn't feel this degree of gratitude if I didn't have a drinking problem. Mary

Mary, I truly believe that EVERYTHING in our lives is valuable in some way. Some of the worst things that I've personally experienced all led to a much better place than ever, in the long run. While I think we are all very wise to try to learn as much as possible from our mistakes, I don't believe it's productive to dwell on the negative. I would rather keep the faith that everything in life has a purpose - and it's a good purpose if we just try to keep learning and trying.

HAPPY DAY 31!! MARY IS A ROCK STAH!! :band2:

DG: I totally agree. I was widowed at a very young age (Viet Nam War) w/a young baby & read Viktor Frankel's book "Man's Search for Meaning." He found meaning in life even though he lost his entire family in the Holocaust. It got me through the worst crisis of my life. I absolutely feel that everything in life is a learning experience if we look at it that way.

Keep going DG...you're doing fine. I'll so miss MWO while I'm away. Mary
