Suze- With lucious food like that I'd be thinking about it all the time too!! Glad you got back to the doc. That kidney infection just seemed to be hanging on too long.

Ok, guys. I've been resisting this all morning--Things are just a little too slow here at the INN today so its time to get rockin', and rollin.

Tonight will be the out very first Dancin at the INN competition (there was a reason for the insert pic tutorial)

I bet you didn't know that Ivan could really cut the rug? Here we are practicing our routine

And wait till you see Chief with his hot little number!!

So strap on your dancing showes and get to dancin folks!! Attached files

Sammys- Day 3 great. Keep going.

I really have to push away from the computer now and beat back the dust bunnies under the bed.

G'Mornin ...
You all must be east coasters or in some time zone that's WAY ahead of me ... it's just past 9am here in the inland northwest, and I'm just getting a chance to check the forum. And it's the first day of rain we've had in over a month!

I don't understand people who forget to eat ... I get up thinking about what I'm going to eat all day long! I've always got a drawer at my desk with crackers or oatmeal or apples or suckers or something.

You're all Dancing with the Stars fans? Have to say that's a show I never watch, though my boyfriend loves it. He's a competative level salsa dancer ...

I forget the name of the person who is 26 days AF, wow! I'm usually OK for a couple days, but day 3 I get into trouble. Hoping this forum can help me with that!

I have a quick question ... I've looked at the option of taking the vitamins and supplements, though I'm not real big on medications (the strongest medication I take is ibuprofen, I even do the holistic thing for colds/flus and have an arsenal of organic dried herbs at home) ... and am wondering what your experiences may have been with the kudzu extract? In browsing the forum, I've seen some people say it works, others that it doesn't.

Are any of you just using the vitamins and supplements? If so, which ones are you taking, and how is your success with them? I downloaded the e-book and read something about niacin helping with the cravings, so I started taking my B-complex vitamin this morning (having a tendency towards anemia, I should be doing this anyhow ...).

The other thing I'm wondering, is how do you define cravings? To me, a craving is like when there's a donut calling to me, or I'm dying for a piece of chocolate, or want something salty. I rarely have that same feeling with alcohol, and usually only on a hot summer day for a nice cold beer. But what I do have is a constant thought process about having a beer or glass of wine when I get home. Lately it hasn't even sounded good, but I just kept thinking about it, so I'd have one, and then another, and another, and so on. It's like I could take it or leave it, and figured if I took it I'd stop obsessing about it ...

Sorry I'm late - I SLEPT IN!!!!!!

Those words are not spoken very often in this thread, so I feel special.......

Anyhow, give me a few minutes to get my act together - and in the meantime - Wonder - I think I've found where your avator comes from -

YouTube - Angels

Enjoy!

I'll be BAAACCCKKKK!

Hope you enjoyed that, folks. Wonder, I love your dancing outfit!!! You and Mr. Angel will be spectacular whirling your way around the dance floor! Hope you can get the whatever it that?s preventing you from posting fixed. Have you tried writing your post in a works word document first, and then copying and pasting it into the forum? Maybe that will work better? If not, just keep posting one - liners - we are always happy to see your avator!

Hi Rob - what a good idea having a dancing competition. I?ll have to look for a suitable costume - oh yay, a project!

BabyGirl - Good for kicking that ol? craving right in the choppers. I thought I saw Al running around here minus a few teeth. Yes, it does seem that eating well is very important - I find that if I am eating well I am much more in control.

And I hear you Rob, on the scarfing down whatever you first see, usually something high fat and junky. But you can find that stuff ANYWHERE - not very often you see fresh fruit or yogurt when you are stopping to buy gas - and I am really bad for not planning ahead - sigh - need to work more on that. Maybe I?ll join you in the restaurant, Rustop, and have something nutritious for lunch.

Morning, MM - Glad to hear you are feeling well enough to exercise, that?s a good sign! I am also heading to the gym today - have slipped very badly over the last while - have to whip the ol? resolve back into shape - right now sorta like this -

Cute dancing partner you have there, partner! Still recruiting mine?.

Geez, Suze - Hope this round of meds does the trick for you. Have you had a history of kidney infections? Sending you healing vibes?.

Eastender - Love the avator. You can go with whatever your mood is at the moment! Wow, all the food talk is making me hungry. . . Now where is that restaurant again. . .

WomanWithWings - You and I may be more in the same time zone - the rest of these guys are always up way before me - and go to bed earlier - maybe you and I will be the night owls of the bunch - usually I am so alonnee here at night! From the way you talk about cravings, I?m betting you will do alright without the supps - most of your problem seems to be habit, not the actual physical thing. But, you may want to buy yourself a bottle of L-glutamine, which you can buy in any drugstore, and take it as a little bit of extra insurance. Otherwise, just work at finding alternate activities to change your usual habit - ie.. If the first thing you usually do when you go home is pour a glass of wine, maybe change that into something else - perhaps a bubble bath, or a session on the treadmill/stepper/whatever you have? Just something to break the routine. Most of the people here on this thread have extremely clean closets, because cleaning and throwing out excess ?junk? seems to be very theraputic?.Good luck, and welcome, don?t think I?ve seen you here before.

Well, guys, must run and do a few errands - but talk at ya later! Attached files

Thanks Hannah! I may do that, we might even have some around the house as my boyfriend takes it as a supplement (he's a fitness freak, and not much of a drinker).

Looks like you are nearly directly north of me, though several hours!

Well, off to the library, need to get some audio books for my treadmill. It's hard to read a regular book on the treadmill.

Today will be my 2nd day AF, which isn't usually the hardest

Well, it was a close one. One of those dust bunnies got me around the ankle and I thought I was goin down, but I was victorius!!

Looks like things picked up a little while I was gone.

MM, Love your partner, will you guys be doing the passadoble, the swing or the Vienese Waltz?

Wonder- I don't care what you guys do you'll be fabulous to watch, just don't put anybody's eyes out with those wings!!

Keep talkin Hannah you've almost got me inspired to dig out my old exercise tapes. Can't wait to see your costume!!

Woman- Glad to see you here. Hannah has given you some excellent advice. Here's some more. If you've downloaded Roberta's book read it, it will give you a much better understanding of the MWO philosophy.

We are all about self empowerment and using every tool available to us to obtain our goal, whether that goal is abstinance or moderation. These goals include, supplements (including kudzu and l-glut), medications, diet, behaviour modification, exercise and emotional support.

People here pretty much pick and choose what works best for them and change their program as their needs change. The one thing that we do share of course is the support that we all get here on the board. And of course the best part of that is its free.

So welcome Woman, can't wait to get to know you better.

Love and Peace
Rob
