    Friday 9 at The Inn

    Good Morning, bunnies!

Hope everyone is doing ok....I need to make an apology...I am being a bad Innmate - only checking in briefly and not really communicating to individuals as I would like....but I am still quite poorly and feeling totally worn out now. Had new meds from the doc but they were hopeless so am now back on the old stuff....it's just a case of gritting my teeth and getting through it. I've had kidney probs most of my life and these flare ups just happen:upset: I'll get better eventually

Anyway, just wanted to say I'm still here, still AF (28 days) and still thinking of you all, reading posts and loving The Inn.......bear with me please!

    Love

    Suze xx
Just hand me the chocolate and.........I'll consider my position. My solicitor has advised me to say no more than that.

Hey Suze - Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly.

Hope things look up for you soon.

Scotland has turned wintery - it snowed a little overnight where I live.

I went out to my car which had snow on the boot lid (trunk lid) and opened the boot to put my bag in.
The snow which had been on the lid, slid off on to the rear window and from there slid down behind the open lid and into the boot .

So - if anyone wants about some genuine Scottish snow - the first of the winter - I have a whole boot full of the stuff for sale!

(In case anyone wonders why it had not occurred to me that this might happen, I only recently bought the car - My last few cars didn't do this!)

Doncha just love the random stuff life throws at you?

Have a great day - and an even better weekend!

      Lots of love

      Satori

        Good morning INNmates!!

Sorry I pooped out on the bowling tourney and pizza party. I had the best of intentions but a bladder infection crept up on me so it antibiotics and early to bed. Anyway, feeling better this am.

Hannah- That must have been a white knuckle trip to work yestereday! Yes another reason to quit that job. The dual internet setup will be a must especially if hubby will be home more, can't have any chipper-shredder "accidents" over the computer. Good luck this weekend house hunting. Did you say you will be closer to your son?

Indigo - Congrats on 64 days!! Wow, you are one busy woman! It sounds as if you are taking charge of your life. Getting to spend time with your daughter is proving to be a huge challenge for you, but in the end I'm sure you'll see that its worth it. Just remember that were all here cheering you on.

Deter- Welcome!! Come on in. Kick back and relax. When the INNmates aren't running around acting crazy, its really quite restful here, we have a spa, exercise room, zen garden, meditation room and many other amenities. Just ask for what you need and we'll be more than happy to provide it. Oh and there's a garlic farm just down the road!!

Suze- Never apologize for being ill. Now I understand why that kidney infection held on so long. Yet another excellent reason for you to remain AF. Your kidneys are going to love you!! Maybe our inhouse herbalist, that would be MM knows of some sort of natural kidney support.

Fickle- Hi there, Love your kitty, looks so happy!! Yeah, the time zones and day changes can make your head spin, but regardless we're glad to have you here.

Alrightythen. Seminar if generally firmed up. I'll be back later to post the line up.

        Love and Peace
        Rob

Morning Suze, (28 days!), Satori (Good to see you!), Fickle, Rob, and all to follow.

Well, our bags are packed, we're ready to go......

Finallly found a hotel room, apparently there is a rodeo in town in Edmonton, and barely any rooms at the Inn so to speak. We ended up having to shell out $214.00 per night!!!! The hotels know they have you (as hubby would say, by the short hairs:H ) so they jack their prices up on "event" weekends. And here I am about to quit my job! This weekend is just a "go see" trip, not actually going to buy a house/condo or whatever this weekend, just looking around. Haven't told any of my family what's up yet, don't want to get their hopes up in case it doesn't pan out. But wish us luck!!

Yes, Rob, I hate the winter driving thing. That as much as anything made up my mind for me about quitting my job. I'm tired of the white knuckle drives there, and then spending all day wondering if you are going to be able to get home that night. The weather here is about as changeable as the wind, you never know what to expect.

Anyhow....off to work just for the morning, then off to Edmonton for the weekend. So won't be around :upset: but will be back on Sunday night/Monday morning.

          Have a great weekend everyone!!

                Hi Everyone!-

Good to see the inn hopping this morning! I woke up in the middle of the night with a screaming pain in my shoulder. From what? I have no idea! I haven't had it before...this human body is very complex. And it's so hard when things go wrong. I think I shant go back to spinning class for a while - it's part of the (this week's!) problem I think. 2 years ago, when I was 42 years old, I had an emergency open heart surgery (while on a vacation 3 thousand miles from home!). There was a previosly undetected defect that I was born with that caused a main artery next to my heart to collapse. I was within moments of being a gonner. It was repaired with a bypass operation, and I got tremendously wonderful care, and my health is really good - I was VERY VERY lucky, to say the least. But the place on my chest where they, well, cracked me open (ew-sorry), can be sensitive to certain kinds of strain. The leaning on the bike handles at spinning got my chest, collar bones and shoulders a little out of whack. So there's a lesson learned - back to the treadmill and elliptical. No more spinning - at least for now.

Suze - I really hope you feel all better soon. It can be so draining when the body is in pain and not working up to snuff. I LOVE your 28 days. And your sticks. And bunnies are my favorite animals :h

Hannah - Hope you have a great weekend. I'll miss you. Even if your team didn't win at the bowling last night - looks like you had the most fun!

Indigosky- Way to go on 64 days! Tremendous! No doubt your sobriety will help with the legal matters - you're clear-headed, strong and have all your inner resources on tap. I hope the coming months get you back together with your little one for a new start. That's a healing you SO deserve! Will keep you two in my thoughts and prayers.

sammys! Day 5! You're through the terrible 3/4's. yay!!

Rob - loveliest Innkeeper on the planet - so sorry to hear of your physical troubles too. The Pizza and bowling was really fun, you were missed, but best that you take good care of yourself and rest as needed. The seminar sounds fantastic. Can't wait. And.... i had a thought ....don't know if it can work..... but there are lots of folks not staying at the inn who are wrestling through the first days/week AF, and also lots of great MWO-ers racking up long AF periods. Could we include everyone in a Sunday shout out? Would love to acknowldege and cheer everyone on. Whaddaya think?
Okay off to procrastinate, um, I mean read more threads...... love you guys!
any ideas for a Friday night activity?

                  Friday 9 at The Inn

                  Good morning, my friends!!

Well, winter is fast approaching here, too. No snow yet, but it is forcasted for this weekend. We are hopeful as the ski resort is scheduled to open Thanksgiving. It is a huge week here! The tourists will come, and they are making snow on the mountains - quite beautiful.

I have decided I am going to make a firm commitment now that I am not drinking to get back into shape. I have gained an annoying 15 pounds over the past few years and I am determined to get it off. I am going to think of some daily challenge for those that want to join. It will be a daily check in down in the "gym" here at the Inn. I will think about this this weekend and start on Monday! I know the holidays are coming, so it will be a way to keep in check. I'm not much of an eater, and I don't like sweets, so the holidays were more about drinking. That gone, the calorie intake should be just like any other time of the year. Soooo .. I'll let you know what I come up with!!

Suze.. Here s a website for a fantastic Kidney Support Supplement. I am not sure if you are already taking something, but these herbs from Tibet are supposed to be magical!
Kidney Support. I hope you feel better real soon, sister!! And congrats on 28 days!!

Satori - Sorry, but that made me laugh! Congratulations on enjoying 114 days of new life. You are my hero!

Rob.. Gueez.. tat sucks about yoru bladder infection. Those are horribly uncomfortable! Pure cranberry is the best I have found for that. It's hard to find and very bitter, but you can dilute it with bottled water. If it doesn't go away, the same website has Bladder Support Bladder Support. Feel better - We need "Julie"!

Hannah - Good luck with the house hunting!! Think of it as a vacation... I am sure it will work out famously. Can''t wait to hear!

Sammys - Way to go on day 5! It seriously gets easier from here. Be mindful when you get to the 7 day mark. That can also be a toughie. I just point it out because that has also been a tough one for me. I'm not sure why, but I thought I would just bring it up so maybe you can stay close here on that day, too.

Fickle - Glad to see you here! Have a fantastic AF Friday night! The sun is just coming up, so it's hard to imagine. I used to live in Sydney, Longueville, actually - right on the harbour. It was absolutely beautiful!! Just for 6 months, but it was a wonderful experience.

Deter - I hope you are feeling better today! Gald to see you checking in.. What trade show? What's for dinner?

Wonder - GOOD GOD! Open heart surgery - that's radical! Uh, yeah, I would not do spinning for a while, if ever.. I'm so glad it turned out so well. Do you go to a gym, or work out at home? Need inspiration here!!!

Indio - Congrats on 64 days from me too!! I'm going to ride on your shirttails!!

Best to Chief and all to follow..... I will check in tonight. Big day at the Spa.

                  Namaste,

                  MM

Mizz Mama - Love the Inn Gym daily check in - great idea! I like to get exercise in a number of ways - at the gym I do treadmill, elliptical and weights. I also like yoga. And, weather permitting - love to be outside - walking, hiking, jogging. I want to drop some lbs. too. Was getting my weight back to where it belongs, but went off track recently. I need to do alot of cardio to achieve this. I'm also very careful with food: My diet consists of lots of fresh veggies, some fruit, whole grains, lean fish, some chicken (any meat gets less appealing all the time), eggs , tofu, beans, nuts and seeds, lite dairy - mostly yogurt and some cottage cheese. Mostly off sugar. Let's do it!!! I want to feel lean and fit! and strong!

                        Hi all!!

My quick nightly check in... My hubby and I are off to the movie. I planned a movie that starts right after work so there is no temptations.. Going to see American Gangster. I have uped my Topa to 50mgs. I feeling the "creep of the crave" tonight, so I glad I am going back up to 50mg. That is why I wanted to go straight from work to a move. Popcorn and diet coke and I won't even think about it!! This too shall pass..

                          Evenin All-
Satori- Didn't mean to overlook you my friend. Thank you for your generous offer, but we'll be having our own snow soon enough, thank you very much. I know that since its been touched by you this particular snow is very, very special, but for now I'll pass.

Wonder- You were indeed lucky- Those heart valves go and its "Katie bolt the door", things go very bad very fast. I'm so glad that your here with us, yet another reason for you to take good care of yourself. We do seem to be a puney lot right not don't we?

Wonder, I love your idea of including everyone in Sunday Shoutout. Can you give me an idea about logistics? Do you think we should post on specific threads? Can I buy a vowel?

By the way, I really miss that angel!

Capt- Glad to hear that your doing well.

MM- Thanks for the suggestion. Last night my husband asked me why I didn't just by some cranberry juice. I'm not sure he belived me when I told him that the surgar in the juice does more harm than good.

But I'm a little concerned about you and WW- All this healty food and exercise!! You apparently have your priorties all messed up.

Its all about being carried around on a fluffy pink cushion and waited on hand and food while being feed foods fried foods rich in cheese, chocolate, high fat and low nutrition with an occasional peeled grape thrown in for good nutrition. I thought I raised you girls right!

Ok, time for dinner, I'll be back in a few to post the Seminar lineup.

                          Love and Peace

Not to worry Rob - I still eat plenty of crap! Just in smaller, spread out doses. Ice cream and pizza manage to sneak their way in often enough (and Diet coke and popcorn like MM tonight!). As for Sunday....I dunno. What if we had a Shout Out thread and a Sunday Inn thread with the rules and stuff separate. Is that too complicated? I just can't help thinking how fun it would be to see everyone whose AF-ing chime in and get their three cheers! Leave it to me to throw in a monkey wrench. I'm difficult - what can I say? The regular way is just fine too! You're the awesome-est...... wonderxxx
