SLIGHTLYSUZE CELEBRATES 30 DAYS

Hallo All my lovely MWOers! Sorry to be late checking in...big work-related do today....at which I drank gallons of bubbly water!:H

I am so pleased to have made it to 30 days (again lol).....how do I feel compared to 31 days ago? Well.....I feel powerful, centred, calm, measured, content, happy. I know that the first 40 day AF wasn't a fluke....it is within me to be a sober, unfettered person who doesn't mark each day by how quickly it gets to 5pm drinking time. It feels very good. I am childishly pleased, too, that I managed to keep focussed on it during a kidney flare-up.....in the past I would medicate it with gin (along with the doc's meds...yikes!) which was probably not a good idea....... I hate being ill or under the weather and would always use more alcohol then to numb the distressing feelings. Very, very dumb.

Thanks for the chocolate gifts......they are very welcome as I stripped the fridge of my beloved 85% dark choccie a few weeks ago as a disciplinary measure!:H I am not planning to stay CF (choc free) forever, but I needed to get a grip.....

Where from here? As far as I can see at the moment I will remain AF. That's my life choice for my health and sanity. Life can be tough but I have learned (mostly from this place :h ) that every problem you can have is only made worse by alcohol. Thanks for everyone who told me that/wrote inspiring posts/made me laugh/kept my spirits up.....

So......is the Inn staying open or what??? Don't want to lose touch with my Innmates!
