    DAILY THREAD-Wed Nov 14

gee- be sick for a week & all hell breaks loose here!

what happened to our meak daily thread? LOL! So many different threads-I got lost. Remember when there was just one?

Was sick as a dog for over a week. Wasn't the flu but had flu like symptoms. Didn't take a shower in days & picked up my kids looking like the "Uni-Bomber".

Anyhoo-been busy after that making up for being in bed for so many days. How the heck can dust accumilate to over an inch in a week?

Well getting ready for daughter's 9th b-day on Fri. It'll be my first sober b-day in 9 yrs! Always had to have a buzz on-or drunk.....ugh. Last year was the killer & after her b-day I joined here so it'll be my one yr anniversary sometime next week.

Have a great AF day everyone!

    Hey Breez,

I am new here! Hello to you--sounds like you had quite the bad week!

I too had to have my buzz on (or worse) in order to have any celebration...especially with kids involved. Congrats on your one year anniversary coming up

glad the thread is up an going

Glad to see the daily thread up and going again...I was missing it even though I wasn't always posting on it.

Well, I see the specialist tomorrow for my panic/anxiety. I had always been prescibed the standard anti-depressants by GP's in the past...this I know now was not the best route for me. As well, I don't think that I was a well versed patient. I have learned a lot in the last few months from another on-line support group that deals specifically with these issues.

After reading the "Alcoholism and Addiction Cure" I realized I really had to look more closely. Most of my past issues of growing up and such have been resolved. For the most part my life is pretty great...except for the on-going anxiety/panic that I was self medicating with beer. Also, this book made me realize that the "reasons" we drink are not all emotional, mental or past issues. I know that there is a chemical imbalance. Depression runs in my family and no one has ever really done well on the standard meds. Just recently my mom switched her meds and it is like she is a whole new woman. She went from not being able to get out of bed at all on the weekends...to a Harley Chick/Wife....and just enjoying life. Mine has never been the depression....I take after my Dad in the anxiety department....which it now makes sense as to why both of us used booze to bring us down chemically. Thank God alcohol was the strongest thing I ever got into to help me deal with this.

So I am hopeful about tomorrow's appt. I can't deal with this edginess/panic mode....it is exhausting. Just knowing what was causing me to drink has helped a lot.

Very nice Karma...can't wait to hear what you learn inquiring minds want to know!

I used to have very bad anxiety disorders/attacks. for me inositol powder seems to do the trick. about a 1/2 teaspoon in some water or juice...but we are all different for sure. XXX
