    Rob -

I was just going downstairs for breakfast and I found this guy bouncing around the Inn lobby. I don't think he's intoxicated, just VERY cheerful, if a little odd. He said he heard the Inn was a really fun crowd and he just wanted to join in. Should I stick him in the walk-in fridge til later in the day?

Eastender- no it's not a veggie cake. It's a Christmas Astro Weenie arrangement (mini wieners all over it!) Apparently there's an Astro Weenie cult out there - here's their mascot:

Rob - wow the Inn is looking so festive! I love it! I will break out all the sweaters, gloves and scarves and get ready for Snowman-making later. yay!!!!

And yes - Max - what's happening? You okay? Please leave the wreck room and come and help us decorate! We miss you!

I just found this site this am --never scrolled down far enough! Such a dork. Love the decorations and that vege cake --- yum. Got Ranch? Hate the snow so I'll watch you guys build the snow man from my place by the fire.

Raising a cup of hot chocolate to you all and another AF day.

Hi Cosette -- yes, I ate a lot the first few days (on day 10) and now when I'm craving a drink I tend to pig out, especially with sweets which worries me a little. Started Topa last night but after going 10 days not sure I need it but was really craving last night. Good luck.

                        Hi Laura Anne and Cosette-
Great to see you both at the Inn! A lovely group and lots of fun and good support.
Cosette- Yes! I get hungry going AF (but then eating is NEVER a problem for me!) Especially in the beginning as Laura Anne said. For myself, I think it has to do with 2 things : 1) I think my blood sugar and how my body regulates it, gets screwy from drinking and it takes a while to balance itself out - there are some threads on here with great information about this, which is too technical for me to remember right now, but you can always do a search. I know that Hypoglycemia is prevalent in people who are alcohol dependent 2) I'm an addicted person! Stress, emotions, anxiety trigger cravings for alcohol, food and anything else that feels good! I want comfort food! And if you've just given up alcohol, it's only natural to want go to the next best thing !

It's all a lifelong challenge and learning process. Be gentle with yourself. You're doing great! I have found that being off sugar and refined carbs completely helps immensely because it keeps the blood sugar more steady so I'm not in the cycle of bingeing and crashing. If you can, eat lots of veggies and lean protein. These will keep you feeling full and will stabilize your blood sugar and craving in general. And be sure to drink lots of water!

In the meantime - pamper yourself in other ways. Warm bubblebaths, manicures/pedicures, a favortie book/movie or magazine, some special Christmas decorating, even cleaning out drawers and closets!

                        have a great day-

                          Hi Fellow Innies

Rob the decorations look fantastic. Looking forward to building the snowman later. Looks like Long Road is messing with all our heads regarding what day it is, Kathy just started todays thread with Tuesday 5th December. Just as well we are AF or we would be really confused.

                              Good morning, my friends!!

Well, is a lovely, greay, Wednesday morning here is the mountains. No snow, but we should be getting more today and tomorrow. The skiiers are starting to arrive and the town is busseling with holiday activity!

I am tired, though.. I decided this morning that I am going to get back into seeing my acupunturist once a week throughout the rest of holiday season. I work on so many people and the spa is so busy with people that my energy is zapped. Then I come home to family, which is wonderful, but they want attention and to do holiday activities - so I am pooping out. Having acupuncture is something that keeps me in check mentally, spiritually and physically. It costs $150 per session, but it is becasue she is one of the best in town. It is worth it to me to stay sane and healthy through this time - I get scared when I start fellling spun-out, that is a dangerous place for me... So, I am going to nip it in the bud!!

                              Sorry, enough about me...

Rob - Thank you so much for the decorations!! I plan to pull mine out this weekend. We will get our "real" tree next Wedensday, so I will no doubt get more into the festive spirit! Thank you for making the INN so cheerful!!

Wonder - LOVIN' the WEENIE theme!!

Max - How are you - What's going on, buddy?? My thoughts are with you - let us know how you are doing...

Laura Anne - Eastender - Cosette - Rustop - Hart (you cheeky litttle one, you), and everyone else, have a fantastic day!!

Chief - Thank you for your encouraging words.. you are my rock!!

Hanna- Doggy - where are you ladies???

Well, gotta run... Off to work and then hubbys Christmas Party tonight. At least it is a Mormon run party, so no booze! Normally I HATE that party becasue it is so boring, but because of my mood, I am soooo glad it is a no-boozer party!!

                              namaste,
